These drums are excellent at such a great price in good quality, feel, sound, and shipped fast well packaged! Nice, compact, easy to stowaway, and is the perfect set up for my place. It's so awesome that it came with everything needed to assemble and play. They also look amazing in display and compliment the area I have them. Very satisfied! So glad to have pulled the trigger on them.

Such a perfect addition to our music room. The teenagers, dad and even the toddler all love it. Sounds great. Thanks for the referral Evie Clair!!

I love this drum set it's a great set to practice on.. my biggest complaint would be that the bass drum pad does not accommodate a double kick pedal really at all. You can put it on there but it doesn't give both mallets a direct hit. Other than that I love playing it and have no real big complaints..
Chris Hoopes
I have a similar DED-200 set (one more cymbal, different kick, with the same brain). The sounds are pretty good and the kit is easy to set up. I have a couple of go-to presets and am working on setting up my own custom preset. This makes a pretty nice practice setup.
John S.
Comes with everything you need. Kick pad can accommodate double pedal. Nice mesh pads and snare can do rim shots. Two zones on crash/ride for bell and edge. You can customize the sounds to build your ideal kit. Trigger midi on computer. Chokable cymbals but how to transmit choke via midi?

Donner Kit Comparison:
I've been able to demo both of these e-kits! The Donner DED-80 and DED-200 are both affordable electronic drum kits that provide a variety of useful options and are fun to play! I am impressed at the number of features Donner has included in their line of electronic drumsets.
How do you decide which electronic kit is best for you?
The DED-80 is a smaller kit with some nice starting features. It includes a snare drum pad, 3 tom pads, a crash cymbal, ride cymbal, and hi-hat pads, and kick and hi-hat trigger pedals. The DED-80 also has a built-in metronome and a variety of drum sounds. The smaller size makes it a great fit for even the youngest drummers!
The DED-200 is slightly larger and includes even more features. It has a snare drum pad (with rim trigger), 3 toms, two crash cymbals, a crash/ride cymbal, and hi-hat pad. The upgraded cymbal angle adjustments help with custom cymbal positioning. This kit includes an actual kick pedal and both pedals provide a more realistic and accurate feel (great upgrade from the DED-80). It also has a built-in metronome, a variety of drum sounds, and a number of other features.
Both kits make practicing fun and include a number of useful practice and performance tools. Ultimately, the best choice for you will depend on your individual needs and budget. If you are looking for a beginner kit that is smaller in size and affordable but still has mesh pads, the DED-80 is a good option. If you are looking for a slightly larger kit with more upgrades and better pedal feel and accuracy, the DED-200 is a better choice. Impressively, both are easy to set up and everything you need to start playing is included in the box.

The 200 Pro version is an excellent value. If you are looking for a full kit with 5 drums and 4 cymbals, you can't beat this value anywhere else.
Sounds are high quality. Rack is full size and strong. Really enjoying it.

This device is perfect for apartment living - I never have to worry about upsetting my neighbors with loud music.

The delivery driver left the package in an inconvenient location outside my house, which made it difficult for me to bring inside.

I have had this product (and the accompanying DDA-80 amp/speaker) for a few weeks, and am really enjoying the setup. I can't believe that not only is a kick pedal, headphone, sticks, and throne included, but that the quality is pretty good for the price I paid...!
Note that I'm set up as a lefty. Setup was no problem, it just took a few extra minutes to make sure I reversed the parts pointed out in the document.
This is not a perfect set by any means: the drum module's #6 set has a typo (Old Shcool, maybe that's intentional, a pun on cool?), the high hat rubber doesn't provide enough rebound for 1/16 note beats, the high hat pedal has to be fully released to get a good open high-hat sound, some of the drum sets are very low volume with the headphones connected to the module (to the point that I can hear myself hitting the pads more than the drum sound), and the snare pad doesn't have great rebound.
However, all I do is tell myself that 1) I'm an old guy just getting back into it after not touching a stick for over 25 years and 2) for the price, I can easily overlook/adjust and just go back to working on basics at slower tempos.
I really can't get over the quality of the drum pedal included in this kit, at least for my needs. It's very responsive.
I should add that a wonderful complement to this set, especially for the price, is the DDA-80 amp/speaker. It absolutely solves the problem of the low volume of the headphones; plug the headphones into the amp, plug the drums into the amp, and it sounds really good. The bluetooth capability of the DDA-80 is wonderful, too. I have been waiting for over 3 decades to find a way to play music mixed with my drumming, and the amp solves that nicely, again, for a very reasonable price.
So, while this is not necessarily a set for seasoned professionals gigging every night, it is a great value for consistent playing by beginner and intermediate drummers. I am overall VERY happy with this setup.
Nicholas
I've had no issues with the product since putting it together - everything fits perfectly and it's very stable.
Ava
The headphone jack is really convenient - I can use my own headphones and get a great quality sound.
Ryan
I've been using this product for months now and it still works perfectly - very durable and well-made.
Matthew
This product comes at a great price for the quality and features it offers - I highly recommend it.
Kevin S.
Where are the assembly and setup instructions.
Madison
I appreciate the variety of sounds and features this product offers - there's always something new to explore.
Hannah
I was disappointed to find that the package was damaged during shipping, which caused a few small scratches on the product.
Grace
I've found this device to be a great tool for teaching my kids how to play music without causing a disturbance in the house.
Andrew
If you're looking for a product that's easy to assemble and of great quality, this is definitely the one for you.
Emma
I was a bit worried about putting it together myself, but it turned out to be a breeze - highly recommend!
Chloe
Overall, I'm so happy with my purchase of this product - it's allowed me to practice and play music without any noise complaints or disruptions.

Great for my recording studio

I wish I could give it more than 5 stars. What a great set. Sounds real, easy to assemble. Well worth it and I highly recommend.

We love our new Donner Electric drum kit! There were some challenges in the beginning, but Donners excellent customer service rep, took care to ensure we received our kit in working order. Thanks
Gary B.
Just a beginner.. wanting to learn to play the drums.. been a desire of mine all my life. Recently retired at 66 and would luv to play the drums
Robert M.
Good set, my 1st electronic set, it takes some getting used to but it's a good starter.
Alex
Hands down price for what you get 4cymbal 4 Tom & bass drum (big kit) it's worth it. I've got a few jam sessions on it as well as my son (who I got it for) but we love it. Good product, great price.
Bart H.
This set is very solid and directions are easy to follow. Really like the mesh heads as they feel like real drums not that plastic feel. Things like having rim shots on the snare, sounding different when you play on the edge vs. the middle, three different sounds on cymbals depending where and how hard it's hit, even being able to silence a cymbal by touching with your hand make the set sound and feel very real. The base peddle and the large pad also feel very good to me. It is big enough to use a double bass if you wanted. Again very sturdy. Using a set of 16$ Koss headphones that also sound fantastic!
The set comes with 15 different kits sounds. A few of these kits sound really good which is all I need. The rest of the kits sounds don't sound professional but are fun to play around with. Thinking you might be able to import more drum kits but haven't tried it yet.
All in all I really like this set and am having a great time practicing and learning new groves.
Walter R.
My church needed a drummer, so after many years away from playing, I volunteered to join the church band. I got the DED-200 for a home practice kit that I can play quietly if need be, and I couldn't be more pleased with my purchase. It does everything I need it to do, and I can practice without chasing the wife and kids out of the house. I can't walk past the kit without sitting down and playing a few bars! I'm a lefty, and the kit sets up for lefty like a breeze. If you're thinking about getting into drumming and want an affordable yet capable kit, this is the kit for you. I should have done it MUCH sooner! Enjoy!
Christy Eidson
I will say that it took me a little over 2 hours to put together, but it wasn't bad. I should have watched a video on assembly beforehand, but it was all right. They sound amazing! I couldn't be happier with them. I have never played drums in my life, and it's fun and easy to use. It takes up very little room and is quiet for apartment living. I wish I would have gotten these years ago. This is the second Donner product I have bought (the other was a ukulele) and am so impressed with the company. The quality is great and the price very good on their products.

My first set of drums. I’m learning at the age of 49. Loving every minute of it. So much fun. The quality of this set is amazing for the price.
Barry F.
Great for the money I’ve been playing professionally since 1960,but due to health reasons had to stop last year.I bought the electric drums to have something to do without disturbing the neighbors, also my five year old granddaughter wants to learn how to play,it give me a good chance to bond with her.
Peter M.
easy to set-up and fun to play. I'm not happy with the sound/volume of the high-hat. I've been waiting 3 weeks for a return call from customer service.
Christina
Sound quality is amazing! My son really loves them!!

TL/DR: 9/10.
Price: 10/10
Hardware: 10/10
Size: 10/10
Feel: 10/10
Software (Brain): 7/10. (Only one issue here, read on to see what it is.)
Overall, I was quite happy with the product. The frame is relatively sturdy, the mesh heads are holding up well, the brain is good, and the tower is not bad. I would highly recommend this to a beginner or even an intermediate drummer that wants an inexpensive practice tool or a way to have fun quietly. Yes, quietly. My roommates do not hear this drum kit unless I'm really hammering away on the bass pedal, and that is just the nature of the pedal itself. It is metal, it has moving pieces, it makes noise. Further details are below. I encourage you to give it a read, as I waited weeks before writing this review and I have a lot to say.
Positives:
Cost. This is absurdly cheap. After a coupon code that Microsoft Edge automatically found for me, the total cost was $340. You will not find something of this quality for that low of a price often, and I am quite satisfied in that regard.
Space: It is compact, but not tiny. It is not a sprawling, larger than life acoustic kit, if that's what you're looking for. Obviously, it cannot be, for a number of reasons. It is small enough to fit in the corner of most rooms quite comfortably, and depending on how you place the pads, you can probably fold it up with ease and fit it into smaller spaces within two minutes. The full kit takes up less than 5 feet by 3 feet worth of space.
Modular nature: Each pad can be moved and installed wherever the user wishes. Strangely, I like my hi-hat where the snare usually would be, and vice versa. With that in mind, I was able to place both of those where I want them, and that's prohibitively difficult on acoustic kits. There is a minor complain about how far this modular setup goes, but that's in the next section. In all, this is a kit that you can fully personalize on the hardware level, by changing where pads are located and how they're arranged.
Frame and heads: The frame is excellent, being very sturdy, and it tends to stay where you put it, as long as you tightened it enough. The heads have a great feel, bounce, and stand up to some real punishment. The sensitivity is so good that you can even do rolls on the snare, which is uncommon for a lot of electronic kits in my experience.
Brain: There is a decent number of sounds from which to select, and most of them have pretty good quality through headphones, which are the primary way I would suggest using this kit. I plug my headphones in, then an aux from the kit to my phone, and then I'm free to practice or jam to my heart's content. The audio levels on some of the sounds are not balanced perfectly, and you'll quickly find that some crashes, hi-hats, and snares are much less audible than others, but that is a minor issue since they can be changed at will. I haven't tried any computer functionality, otherwise I'd also list that here. Sorry, I have been busy training for a fight.
Negative:
My major criticism is that there is no way to change the individual function of a given pad. The snare will only have snare sounds. Even if you change the placement of the snare, it will always be one. The ride must be a ride. You cannot change the hi-hat control to a second bass pedal, unlike many other electronic drum kits.
Whether this is an intentional ploy to encourage the purchase of a Donner double pedal, a higher tier kit that might be capable of this feature, or some other unknown plan on behalf of the designers is beyond me, but it is a frustrating and seemingly unnecessary flaw. You might be thinking: "Reviewer, what if there's a problem with dual vs single zone drums?"
Well, if some drums are dual zone and some aren't, just have the primary zone sound as the default for single zone drum pads. If the issue is that the pads themselves are only programmed to input those specific commands to the brain, why? Yamaha was cranking out kits with this functionality in the early 2000s or earlier. I implore Donner to reach into the 21st century, this is my largest complaint by far.
Aside from that complaint, I would probably give this product a 10/10, but the lack of such an incredibly basic feature present in models more than a decade older that are also cheaper is just very confusing and strange. As such, I can give this a solid 9/10. Imagine you're just getting into the new car you bought and you realize it doesn't come with AC, and its summertime. Sure, you've bought other cars, older and cheaper ones, and they had AC, but you didn't double and triple check this time to make sure this one does, and now you're the one sweating.

It’s just what I was hoping for to find a kit with mesh pads is awesome for the price I paid-The drums and cymbals and Hi-hat sounds great too… The only thing I noticed is there is a very very slight latency when I play the tom-toms but overall I’m very happy with the kit and the sound!
Vince R.
Drum heads were all very responsive and adjustable. There were some restrictions in drum placement due to the limited actuation points in the cymbal and drum stands but most positions were able to be reached with some adjustment. The sticks were not high quality but the money saved on this kit can easily be used for better peripherals.
Jesse G.
Drums were easy to set up and arrange according to how I sit. They work flawlessly with MT Power Drumkit and other Drum VST plugins with Reaper.
I am able to play and practice with a good kit for a great price. I highly recommend this drumset. I found this set from the review that was done by Samus666 and glad that Donner sponsored him to show off this amazing kit.
John C.
put it together works great very good sound i recommend buying one if you want to learn how to play the drums
Steven S.
This drumset is awesome! Exceeded my expectations for sure!!!
Gerson G.
Setup takes a minute cause there are a lot of parts to assemble, but overall it's a great experience for those learning to drum or even for those who already know how drumming to enjoy if you don't have space for a real set.
Beebe J.
Awesome drum kit. Sounds great !!!
Ron Mac
The media could not be loaded. Great for E-Drums for the price. Sounds professional. Meshes are excellent.
Leo L.
I didnt want this kit as i purchased it by accident and tired to cancel it but was unsuccessful. Decided to give it a chance and honestly really couldn't be happier. Yes its a beginner set but that exactly what i am but well versed in music as I play guitar. Overall great set to start with i even purchased the expansion symbol. Only thing i see worth mentioning is that Donner should have a sound module upgrade for these kits.
James F.
I'm impressed,I never had an electronic set.well built,very adjustable,numerous different sounds ,metronome,like all the features,and a good price.
Peter F.
Assembly takes a bit, I moved module to middle of rack as snare fits better on location where control modules supposed to go. I'm having a blast with this drum kit.
Dylan Clay F.
Love this drumset. The amount of customization is nice. The cymbals are of good quality with the ability to silence them like an acoustic.
Michael P.
Great kit for keeping up chops. I have carpet in the room , I bought a drum blanket, looking for ways to secure kick.
naoya
My Kid love it. It is good idea to buy speaker too.
Melissa H.
Got it for my 14yo. He loves it and I LOVED the price! Thank you
Mike Ebenal
I am enjoying this drum set. An issue I have been having is that the main controller seems to play random drum sounds now and then - restarting the unit fixes this however. Note that the snare is the only drum with the rim sensor so if your rim sound doesn't work, it might be that you have the snare in the wrong position. The sound pack isn't great but it is perfect for a beginner like me.
RL Wright
The drum set it pretty nice! Only complaint about the product is that you really have to crank the heck out of the bracket bolts to keep the pads from slipping.
Dennis S.
We investigated the purchase of an electronic drum kit for our grandson and we reviewed several different models, including major retail centers. Donner Music Instrument not only had the equipment, but also offered shipment within just a couple of days (which is expected for shipping over 300 miles). The package arrived on time, as expected, and was exactly what was ordered. The drum kit was easy to assemble, and works perfectly.
We got a great value for our money and we appreciate the great service from Donner Music.
A. Cannon
The media could not be loaded. We love an electric drum set because of the volume control + head phones situation. The sounds is great. The set up took 3+ hours. So much tightening and so many parts so prepare yourself.
alicia de la rosa
My girls love this instrument. A+ product
John D.
Stoked on my new drum set. I'm just a beginner drummer, but learning and getting better daily is so much fun. The kit came with one wrong sized piece, so I couldn't secure a bar in one place, but I made do. It's all still very secure. The sounds and sensitivity on the cymbals are a little wonky and random sometimes, but it doesn't take away from the fun of it (maybe I just haven't tightened them properly or fully figured out sensitivity settings yet). For the past couple years, I've been making beats with just sounds on my computer, so getting away from the screen and playing something real and tangible is a blast. I got this kit for a great price, and overall, I'm satisfied with it as a beginner kit.
Eileen Dorfman
My grandson and family love this.

This us my second review. The customer service for this company is the WORST!! The kick drum quit work after a month. There is a three year warranty on the kit. I sent a video of the drum not working. They have been giving me the run around. I just want the kick drum replaced! They want me to connect the snare cord to the kick drum to see if it works, which it didn't. Just got an email today that they want another video of it being played along with the connections.
James K.
Very Bad Experience I got this as a Christmas gift 2021 the drums are great but the stool is bent after multiple emails and pics sent to customer service this issue remains unresolved
Emanuel B.
I bought this as a Father's day gift for my husband who used to play the drums before he enlisted. He is 6'7" and I was worried the set would be too short but he said it was perfect and it sounds great! He jams on this set every single day when he gets home from work. It's super easy to set up too. He says the stool is fine but I hate it cause it feels really rickety lol
Veronica Cole
He lives the sound of it. Thank you
Ross C.
So far the drums have been useful and function properly. I just need to know what type of external speaker I can use instead of headphones.
Jerry G.
My grandson loves it
James Clark
This seemed like a reasonable set to practice with in my home. So far, it great! Obviously not like real drums but definitely close enough to practice with at my level. An since they are pretty quiet, I can practice more often without annoying anyone.
Brooks N.
My husband and son’s Christmas present. They both love it!
Philip J.
Once I got the rack setup placing the drums and connecting the wires was easy - Bought a cable to plug an old cd player into the module to play along with cd's(Earphone out from the cd player to audio in on the module). These drums are a BLAST!
Thomas C.
Awesome kit. Got it for my daughters and they love it. I don’t know much about e drums, but this one is very good quality. Wish something like this was available when I was 12 and wanted to play drums
Jess C.
Great package for my
grandson to find his talent!
Tony Davis
The media could not be loaded. Don't think twice, if you're a true Beginner this is the set for you, get it. As you can see, I know how to work that Sound Module already. LOL!
Lori N.
Easy to set up. Sturdy hardware and frame. Was playing within an hour! Great sound. Great pad feel and response
Alejandra G.
My experience with Donner has been outstanding from beginning to end. Excellent prices with special discounts. I received my orders sooner than I expected...I was surprised how quickly my order was delivered. The drums, amplifier, stole is perfect! I would recommend Donner to everyone! Thank you!
Alice
Awesome purchase! Content...
Craig F.
Played as a teenager and drifted away from the drums as life got busier. Always thought about getting a small kit to beat on but never pulled the trigger. Just happened across this set on a Black Friday deal and thought, “why not”. Glad I did!! This kit is perfect for just playing around, but would be great for any beginner or intermediate drummer. They are quiet and private with the headphones and jam nice and loud with an amp! Don’t hesitate buying these if you are thinking about them! You won’t be disappointed at this price!!!!
Tiffany S.
This is definitely lower end quality. It will work if you want to just play drums. We are in the process of returning, which has not been a great experience. Very slow in response time, but giving the benefit of the doubt as help in all areas seems to be in high demand. I am not very hopeful in being able to do this, which is frustrating when you can't try out the product and send back if you are not satisfied.
Natalie T.
My son saved for months to get this drum set and we couldn’t be more pleased with this whole experience.
First, we received update emails throughout- from purchase to delivery. When the box arrived it was packaged in the best way possible. Each box was individually labeled and contained any items that would be needed for assembly inside. The directions were easy to follow and between my husband and I, we had the whole set assembled within two hours.
The drums sound fantastic! We do not have an amp yet so we don’t know how they sound in that regard but they sound great through the headphones.
We were hesitant to have our son spend so much money on something we are not familiar with but I would say that if you’re on the fence, this is a great starter set and it has provided hours of entertainment for our son. He’s gotten so good at drumming!
Customer
Much more than I expected. been a drummer many years ago and now I’ve been missing just playing to myself and with music. Been looking into electric drums for a while checking out music stores and YouTube and for the price I came across this set. I wish I done it many years ago.
Zarkor
Sounds like a basic electic drum kit. Double bass pedals sometimes cause issues when resting one beater on the drum absentmindedly. Does not remember kit sound choices, so one must remember hihat 5, bass 3, snare 8, etc etc. Good for beginners, can handle moderate abuse. Assembly has been almost idiotproofed, and theres a video to go with the instruction book on YT. Don't expect to be able to wail on it, all drums float by a series of plastic clamps, which are plastic, and leverage and stress-over-time are things. Easily folds up for storage.or movement. Drum key works on all clamps. Tension screws do function and can be set loose or tight on all drums. Edge hits for cymbals ate very finnicky to figure out and are iffy at best. Muting pads on cymbals usually work if you learn where sensors are. Won't be your favorite show-off kit but 100% viable for practice.
Carl H.
I have owned a few electronic drum sets before and this one is worth the money with the extra crash cymbal.
David B.
Drum kit is great, however, I still can’t find a way to interface with EZDrummer 2 and a DAW to play along to songs. It shouldn’t be this hard, it’s disappointing.
Curtis L.
This is a great electronic drum set for the money!
David
it's easy to assemble on of the pieces had rust on it for the crash , other than that I'm pretty happy with it and it looks cool and the snare and the toms are cool with the mesh pad. the symbols are rubber but their is no getting around than that other than putting acoustic symbols on it.

Donner ded-200 5 Drum 4 cymbals. As a new beginner drummer so far this was very nicely packed and shipped. Pretty easy to set up and adjust. Love the way it sounds. Really the only down side is the module only because it really should have its own manual to explain all the functions such as how to save settings and what some things mean. But really love the drum set and would absolutely recommend to people.
Traci Tarallo
My son has wanted a drumset going on about 10 years now, so I caved and it hasn't dissappointed. Great set for the price and for beginners. He has been on it literally every day since he got it for his birthday in May.
Denver
This is perfect for beginner. Good build quality for its price and easy to assemble.

I haven’t played drums since my college days but did not take to long behind this kit to get a few grooves going. Paired it with an Alesia Strike 12 amp which can really shake the house. I use headphones for quite playing. All in all very pleased with how instructions where for assembly and overall sound quality are worth every penny.
Tony
The best electronic set for beginners. I say this because for the money you pay you can not beat this. Set up/instructions are clear and easy. Takes approximately a 4ftx4ft space, comfortably. Not the loudest with ear phones but still loud enough to hear well. Foot pedal that comes with it is decent considering with other kits you don't get a kick pedal. If your on the fence as I was for 3 month's, treat yourself. You won't be disappointed if you just need something to scratch that drummers itch from time to time. Best for a beginner to intermediate level drummer, though I think with a double pedal a pro would be impressed with this kits performance. Will update in a few months to speak on durability and using with a double pedal. I will also edit to include video.

I added 3 photos to my review for a reason. One of them is my old beaten up Roland electric drum kit. It was a good drum set but the Toms are rubber pads. Everything about the donner drum set is great. The mesh drums are awesome, however when I hooked my personal pedal up to the donner kicked drum, the beater would bounce off the mesh head a lot to where it was almost like a drum roll on the bass drum. I ended up hooking up my Roland kick pad to the kit instead. I’m sure the mesh head is great, I’m gonna stick a pad to the mesh head to hopefully stop the bounce back. It’s really nice and convenient that you can use parts from other kits that way you can customize the kit to your liking. I also went with my old snare drum from the Roland kit just because it’s bigger, nothing wrong with the one included. I also use my own snare drum stand because I cannot stand having my snare drum mounted on the arm of the rack because you’re limited on adjusting to your comfort, same with the high hat cymbal which is why I used an actually cymbal stand. My only complaint about the drum set is the module. It only comes with 16 drum settings and they’re really not that great so I ended up using my Roland module. If you’re wanting to buy this for a kid who is wanting to learn the drums this kit is perfect. I only gave this product 4 stars mainly because of the module, but it is super nice that you can customize with parts from other electric kits.

A very fun e-kit to play! The best part is the expandability that you can unlock from the digital aspect. The kit does have some technical limitations such as no choke on the cymbals and room for only one programmable drum kit, but here's what I've done to compensate for that. Tossed out the included wood sticks and replaced them with some funky safety green vinyl ones instead and attached them with a dual set stick clamp directly to the cage when not in use. Added some powerful Harman Kardon amplification, high resolution speakers and two subwoofers to provide that convincing bass drum sound and it all helps to get the full effect of the different sounds that you can make while playing. Swapped out the included single-chain single kick pedal for a double-chain double kick pedal system with balanced speed strikers and added a dual strike pad for protection and my results are fantastic in my opinion. Mine pounds and sounds just like an analog kit.

I had been wanting one of these for a while and someone goaded me into giving this one a shot. It arrived in a very nice, well protected package. They even included a screw driver and a drum key which is all you need to put it together. The instructions were fairly decent and the diagrams were outstanding. It took me a little over an hour to put it together. Bear in mind that I'm a left handed dyslexic with Adhd. It would probably go a lot faster, but I see everything backwards and I had to set it up for a lefty. Whew. The whole time I kept saying to myself how nice and sturdy the construction was on the pedals and everything. Most of the time in this price range you get a very expensive toy. This was more like the $1000 plus stuff I have played. It took me 3 tries to route all the wires to suit me. Once I got it dialed in for me, and everything Tightened down good, I gave it a test drive. All of the drums have a nice realistic feel to them. They are mesh head and tunable, so I can't imagine anyone not being able to get the correct feel for themselves. Right out of the box they are set up pretty good. There are 15 preset drumsets and 15 different sounds for each drum, cymbal etc. The following are usually only included with much more expensive kits: dual zone snare, dual zones on all crashes and the ride cymbals, and the amazing ability to be able to choke the cymbals. Yea. I played around with it for hours. You can create and save your own custom sets, play along to a ton of backing tracks, or just use the metronome to work on your chops. I have included pictures and a video running quickly through all the preset kits. Keep in mind you have 6 levels of sensitivity to dial in and this is run through a cheap $20 amp. I am really liking this thing. If anything changes I will gladly update.

Using it at home as a practice kit for worship rehearsal. So far it's been great! Sounds and dynamics are excellent. The kit has a small footprint which gives it an advantage if your practice space is tight. It's about a month or so old so I can't rate reliability. Assembly was super easy. So far I totally recommend this kit for beginners and drummers who want to rehearse without killing your family and neighbors. I wouldn't recommend using it for gigs as it is a light duty kit. I'm a semi professional drummer with 35 years of band experience. I have also owned Alesis and Yamaha electronic Drum products. Also have played extensively on high end Roland V drums.

My instrument is guitar. The kids play keyboards, a little guitar and cello. Maybe they'll get into drums :-)
This is option is great for us to experiment with the idea of drums, and even if electronic is much more realistic than me trying use a Garage Band or Logic Pro drummer, or heaven forbid program something like that, as I can get the normal slight time variation, and variation in dynamics comes direct from how you play.
Anyway, nice and easy to set-up. The kit includes some spares, such as the wing-nuts used to hand tighten in most places (drum key nuts on pad heads and the frame).
Included with the kit are a pair of sticks that are a little light, so there is the immediate suggestion that you don't need a lot of force to trigger the sounds you want to get. This is my first time using eDrums, and I found this is true - you can depend on triggering consistent usable sounds with a lower level of force.

I'm not a much of a drummer myself; I play guitar and sing in two different bands. But both bands rehearse at my house, and both have pro-quality drummers. I had these drummers put this kit through its paces, and both have it a "thumbs up."
Unlike many electronic kits in this price range, Donner offers MESH heads on its drums; a huge improvement over the decidedly artificial-feeling hard rubber heads. This makes a huge difference to the drummer, for whom "feel" is everything.
I also noticed that the pads appear to offer four levels of velocity sensitivity, further enhancing the "real feel" of the kit. Hit harder, and you get a louder, sharper tone. Very nice.

They look intimidating to set up but was really very easy. Was very pleased with the pre-programmed kits that are already loaded on module. Very small space needed to set-up and sound amazing for the meager price they are asking. I purchased the expansion kit and very happy I did. The mesh heads are a very nice featire. The ONLY thing is this, if you buy the non- expanded kit you get a throne AND earphones. You pay less and get more.
My expanded set that cost more did not come with these 2 items. Which is a little strange I think.
But overall not a HUGE deal. Just strange.
Been playing drums since 1967 from Country to Rock. And these drums get it done.
Oh yeah and shipping from Eastar is lightning quick!!
Thank you Easter for an awesome experience!
