I have one and bring it to the dog park almost every day. Good sound for price nd size. The price was $30 less so I am going to to leave 1 in the car and one at home

It looks nice but the action is way too high , and I don’t know how to lower it

I have an Alvarez and an Ovation, both great guitar. I ordered this one out of interest. I had seen it on the internet. It has amazing base sound. ! The neck was way high. It should have been adjusted better at the factory. But I did adjust it to lower the strings. It plays easy. And I like it. Essentially for the price!

Honestly did not have the highest expectations, but this is a solid guitar. Needed a little bit of setup when it arrived, but I was able to do everything myself. It sounds better than the purely carbon fiber guitars I've tried. I mainly purchased it to have something to take on trips, hiking, etc, and it does that job perfectly. I don't think this would replace the Taylor or Martin in a studio environment, but I could see myself recording with it depending on the song. Sounds good, feels good to play.

I had been looking for an affordable carbon fiber guitar that was smaller than my other acoustic guitars because I find the smaller instruments more comfortable to play at my age with back pain, neck pain, shoulder pain etc. I wanted carbon fiber because of the constant temperature changes and humidity changes in my house in Ohio. The weather changes and fluctuating temps have me keeping my guitars in cases all of the time. I wanted something I can leave on the stand and grab any time to play without constant tuning and not worrying about the temperature changes. This guitar is exactly what I wanted. No bells and whistles, carbon AND wood, small size, very nice cutaway for hitting the highest notes, and it has a very good sound. It's tone is full with very good low end and a great neck. It was shipped in cold weather and I had to adjust the neck relief a few times over the first few days to get the action corrected. That was easy with the magnetic truss rod cover and allen wrench that was provided. I won't use the strap or case much, but they are pretty good quality. The price I paid for this awesome little guitar was an AMAZING DEAL! I highly recommend this company. The reviews of this guitar were all very accurate and this guitar lives up to the praise. I may not keep all of my guitars, as I am getting older and playing less, but this guitar is a keeper for me! WELL DONE Donner! Keep up the great work!!

I currently own 12 guitars, including acoustic guitars made in the USA, and the Donner Rising G-1 is one of my favorites to play. The innovation, the fit & finish, the playability and the sound makes it a really fine guitar.
Good work, Donner!

What a great buy. The quality and playability of this instrument is way above the price point. Don't hesitate to get one.

Great guitar for the money. It has a very woody tone. Sounds and plays great. It's smaller size makes it good for travelling and bringing to house and camping parties.

This would not be your typical Ovation acoustic guitar... time passes, things change !
Donner is like the house of the rising sun ... after all, we're in the twenty-first century !
Just a beautiful guitar that is sonically sounding and always makes you smile every time you play it !

It looks awesome and sleek. It is quite a bit smaller than i envisioned it. It sounds good but the action out of the box is terrible. It’s probably higher than anything I’ve ever owned. So it’s not easy to play. I’ll need to take it in and have that fixed so count on a bit more money right off the bat.

This guitar is so light weight, sounds great, and holds a tune perfectly. I bought 2 to teach my kids to play guitar and they are loving it. Even at 9 and 10, the size of this guitar is perfect for their size. I plan to get one for myself as well, as I'm so impressed by the construction of this instrument.

Good volume. Warm sound. Small body.

Had an issue with the guitar but they took care of it. Thanks Donner.

I received this Donner Rising G1 yesterday, and I have to say that it is super light, beautifully finished, and very playable out of the box...with tuning of course. It has a nice, rich sound that projects nicely up & out. The styling in this guitar, with it's fit & finish, is striking ... The action is set low and light, feels just right. The tuners have held firm after six hours of play. The fret work is impeccable, smooth with rounded ends, and the neck is satiny with an easy glide. There are no electronics, strictly acoustic...which makes this instrument perfect for the park, the boat, camping & travel. The carbon fiber top gives this guitar added strength & durability and the gig bag that is provided makes this very portable. I must say, Donner hit a homer with one, no doubt!!

Right out of the box…tuned it up and played it for 2 hours!! Kept tune! I recommend this guitar!
