I bought the DA 10 rechargeable AMP on a youtube review. This AMP is well constructed so I was excited to use it. But than the excitement ended!!! It has very little clarity on the bass notes and sounds all fuzzy no matter the settings. So I'm disappointed in this unit.

Great little amp for the money. Lots of sound and nice sound from the crunch. The EQ and gain last you set it up to your taste. Works great with a DAW.
Must charge to use. Comes with A USB cable and a patch cord to hook it to a computer speakers jack it headphone jack. Sure not come with a plug adapter.
Love these amps!

My son has guitar club at school and this is perfectly sized to fit right in his case. Sounds right and no more bulky amp to travel with. Makes everyone's life easier

Nice little Amp, I am using with the tenor ukulele I also got from Donner. Love it works great.
Brian J.
This amp is so cool. I also have a small Vox battery powered amp that takes AA batteries. This amp has a built in battery with USB charging (4 hours supposedly). This amp is really small, very light and utterly portable but it can still produce a lot of sound. I use this amp with my Donner tenor acoustic/electric ukulele. A marriage made in heaven :-).

Have a couple of these now and they are great. Good sound and the rechargeable battery lasts long. Most mini-amps don't have the options this one does. Can't beat the quality for the price or even any price.
Allman
This little amp has perfect distortion sound for the price and size. Donner has great prices on everything music.

Great for just having a quiet little strum , hat said it can go very loud! You’ll never play a gig from it but handy for quick use
Sean M.
Sounds pretty good clean, but the distortion is... different. I play through a Cuvave Cube Baby connected from headphone out to the amp's aux input and it sounds so much better, so the speaker is on point. The amp circuit itself could be better, but at this price, it's pretty awesome. Fun and decent as a practice amp.
Great as a tool if you're doing electronics work and need a quick test.
Joe V.
Collected quite a few of these small amps over the past years…
Though the Donner DA10 is certainly no Roland nor Blackstar, for the price it sure beats the heck out of all the 9VDC “toys” And the “rechargeable” battery is a great plus ❤️

Great practice Amp, so cool.

The Donner micro amp is great for practicing & versatility allows you to take anywhere

Price was right

This amp sounds pretty good and gives you a moderate amount of amplification. I do some comedy on the road so it's super easy to hook up to my traveler guitar and play a small/medium size room.
Customer
Decent, very small but loud enough for practice.
TRUE
This little guy is great. I use it when I want to play outdoors or when I want to play at a very low volume. It fits in a hoodie belly pocket, and can fit in a lot of guitar cases. The battery lasts a good while and it charges by USB. The sound quality obviously isn't excellent but it's about as good as you'd expect. It has a crunch effect built in. I got it on sale but I think it's worth the full $50 price.
Eugene Slesarev
Aside from the obviously great sound, the feature I really like is that the battery can be easily charged via USB. No more buying batteries!
Cameron S.
over all it was everything i was looking for and am grateful I bought the product

Great Lil Amp. Love it intake it everywhere I go

This is OK for practicing your electric guitar - if you're just trying to hear yourself. Not really great for making that guitar sound great. I was also hoping for just a bit more volume... Volume does pick up on the "dirty" channel. Portability is, of course, a given with this device. Ability to recharge is probably the main reason I purchased it. To finish off the "take-it-anywhere" functionality, I would recommend getting wireless transmitters. With everything charged up, you can sit on your porch and play for the neighborhood kids.
Luis H.
Obviously it isn’t a professional sound however it’s great skill to study with my guitar and to practice without disturb our neighbors. With a correct equalization it’s possible play a lot of musics similar to a original, during my studying. I recommend
piorzo
Sound Quality is not the best but it works fine.
Amanda Wilson
This little amp has great sound and wonderful portability BUT some of the other reviews mentioned it came with a guitar cable and it does NOT. It comes with 2 cables: (1)a USB cable for charging it and (2) a tiny audio cable that fits in the AUX IN to connect to a phone or device. It does not, however, come with a guitar INPUT cable despite showing one in the photo for the product. So, just understand you will need to spend another $10 or so on a guitar cable and will not be able to use it straight out of the box unless you already have one.

I ordered this little amp to play music with some friends outdoors due to Covid. It was sufficiently loud and clear to power my hollow body acoustic to be heard with other acoustic instruments. I am very impressed. I recommend this amp for a practice amp, or playing outdoors in small settings. Just don't expect a gig amp unless it is a VERY small venue.
James Gardner
I'm very impressed with this little amp. It's great for practice sessions where you're trying trying to keep the noise level down yet hear what you are practicing on clearly. I really like that it is a rechargeable product.
Johnny Taco
I wish it was just a little louder, but it’s grown on me and produces a better tone than the Marshall portable at roughly half the price. The rechargeable battery just makes it a little easier to work with. I needed something to sit on a deck and jam without a hassle.
Trevor Justin Michealson
Perfect for travel or any time you're low on space. But I would get something bigger for a primary practice situation. Battery life is good and it charges fairly quickly, but there is feedback when playing and charging at the same time.
Alexander T.
Far exceeded my expectations. Exactly what I wanted and more. Great for practicing or small gatherings around the campfire. Highly recommend.
Ed P
Loud for the size and with great sound quality. Using on a nylon string travel guitar
Alex
Way exceeded what i thought i was gunna get. got it as a temp amp for a bit but fell in love with its portability and ability to make my neighbors not so angry with me while still being able to practice and jam out! love it

Good small amp

I got this little amp because I needed a small amp and didn’t want to spend a lot. I also wasn’t looking for performance quality…just something decent that I could use to experiment with amping my harp and using a looper with it. This little amp is PERFECT for my use! It can be loud and the sound is good, at least to my untrained ears. Very happy with it in my setup!
Michael Angelo C. Bautista
I play mostly in the room - elec guitar, electro nylon, and they both work just fine! I paired this with a wireless trans/recvr and I really love the portability. The sound is strong enough for a large hall.
Bikerdave
This little amp is great to practice with and you can take it anywhere. Takes only about an hour to fully charge and lasts for probably 4 hours. I would buy again.

thought the distortion didn't work at first turns out i'm just dumb lol
John Knox
Great little amp at a great price! I use it with my harmonica mic. I love that I can use the audio input to play backing track songs and mix the volume with my mic input. Great “crunch” button feature. Small but very solid construction. Recharges fast. Highly recommend.
ksh
For such a small amp, the sound is decent and the volume is adequate for practice. I really like its small size and that the battery is rechargeable.
James
I would buy again, great little amp
NB
Bought this as a gift and the recipient loves it. Heard the kudos many times. Being rechargeable is fantastic.
John
This is a cheap little amplifier. With that in mind, this amp blows my mind. You get about 4 hours of charge and you can bring this bad boy out onto your patio for some early morning or late night guitar sessions without bothering anyone. It comes with a Guitar cable too so you can literally start using it right out of the box as long as you own an electric guitar. One of the best amplifier purchases I have made to date.
Rick E.
It's okay for what it is.
Thomas S.
Donner is going places.
William S.
I connect to lap guitars, then have the sound man mic it. Nice!
Richard Shifflett
This amp sounds great for the size! It is about as loud as an acoustic guitar. Nice that it’s battery and you can take it to an outside acoustic jam session! Love the 2 channels.
M. Wilhelm
The internal battery is a great innovation for a "practice" amp. I can take it with me easily and use my electric guitars for a song circle or around a campfire. Not real loud, but you can't really expect much from the tiny speakers. The two settings (clean and crunch) give me some flexibility. All in all, a good option for low key electric guitar.
Horobin B.
I also have a Peavy,as you can see in the picture, and the donner sounds as good. I took it on a sing along on July 1st and it was more than adequate in the big dining room in which the gig was held.
Robert D.
sounds good, lots of crunchy sound ; }
Alex
I wanted to be able to adjust the Tone of the Auxiliary Input. Tone control only adjusts pickup input. Great Amp - Just not what I wanted.
Mark T
I purchased this mini amp for my grandson, who recently got an electric guitar but did not have an amplifier to play it through. Price was a big reason for 5 star rating. For the cost… this amp is worth it. Portable, quite powerful, and rechargeable using USB port that all kids are familiar with. Also has a distortion feature. Definitely serves the purpose intended, mini practice amp for beginner players.
Janet Nabinger
Great sound. Unreal. Bought for 10 year old niece. Great for her to take to friends house. Portable, sounds terrific, charges fast, holds charge, small, can’t compare to any other. Great buy!(con) I wish they sold a bag for it. It’s hard to carry around without a bag of some kind . Also I wish the rechargeable cord could clip to the amp for travel. The cord should come with wall plug.
RGremlin
This is my second unit....I literally played the first one to death. I am often practicing late at night with my Wife sleeping in the next room. Yes....I could wear headphones....but I don't like listening to my guitar through them. This amp let's you get a pretty good cranked up sound at a very low volume. This amp would always play a nice "crunchy" distorted sound with a good amount of sustain. Loved it. I finally had to get a new unit....the "crunchy" sound isn't as good (still not bad) but it does sound better than ever on the clean settings. Being able to charge it via usb is a plus even if the power goes out there still plenty of battery packs to recharge it with. Newer model seems to have an even more sturdy build. Other than my DAW I play on this more than any other amp. Would definitely recommend.

Quien pensaría q tan pequeño y tan poderoso, excelente calidad y buen sonido, me encantó

Your browser does not support HTML5 video. Nice amp. I’m a beginner and this is the first one I’ve ever owned so I have nothing to compare it to. It makes a nice sound though. My only complaint is that there is sometimes a staticy noise when I’m playing or when it’s just on.
Allan McCormick
While this can never be a replacement for a full size amp it is a great little speaker. I own 2 of the honeytone belt amps and this has a much better sound then those do. A much fuller sound as this has 2 speakers vs honeytones 1.
The crunch is a good rock distortion but nothing that will get you even into the lightest of high gain tones. Think a good heavy Zeppelin.
The included 3.5mm cable will work for your need to play along jams or learning new tunes.
The rechargeable battery is a nice feature as saving costs of batteries is always a bonus.
Over all this is a great little amp to bring along with you to test gear or sitting quietly on the couch after bedtime. ;)
It is a well-done piece of gear and if you are in search of something along the lines of a honeytone type micro amp you will not be dissapointed
Ambe03
This is a great little cost effective amp for practicing in places that don't have an outlet or that you normally wouldn't take your electric guitar to. Has an aux for plugging in your phone or mp3 player for backing tracks.
My favorite thing about it is its portability and size as it's just a little bigger then a can of beer. I've had a few mini amps in the past and this one is my favourite so far. The others might sound a little better with bigger enclosures and speakers but I like this one for its small size. My expectations weren't super high for the tones but the portablity and rechargeable battery get high marks and I'm genuinely surprised that I enjoy playing through it when I can't plug into one of my larger amps.
SOUNDS: are what you would expect from speakers this size but that is not to say it doesn't sound decent for a such a tiny practice amp. I'm using it with medium output humbuckers and in the neck position on clean settings it sounds kind of like going into an audio interface direct. It's a servicable sound for praticing clean. Distorted sounds are serviceable and has just enough gain to practice your rock licks/tunes. I have a Mesa and Peavy head that go through 2x12 cabs for high gain and clean so I'm looking at this mini amp through the lens of utility and not neccissarily sound as it would be no contest there. I've found that pretty exaggerated settings sounded the best. Check out the pics for some suggested clean and rock settings with humbuckers.
If your bandmates like jamming out on the hood of a car in some random parking lot and have a clumsy bassist who has a near perfect record of spilling (previously mentioned can of) beer on your expensive gear, this is the one for you. Would definitely recommend as a fun little “side amp”.

I love my little amp. It may be small but the 10W output is perfect for practicing indoors. It's USB rechargeable with a decent battery life too. As well as the normal guitar lead input I can also plug my phone in through the 3.5mm input and play along to songs. There's plenty of options with the sound quality too with dials to set up the perfect tone and a button to select between a clean or distorted effect. It's a really good little amp.

This little amp is absolutely great!
I'm using it with bass every time I'm practicing and it's superb.
It is very small - smaller than I expected. It is almost pocket size (unless you have big pockets - then it is a pocket size).
It has the controls I need plus the crunch effect. This works with my Bass and guitar.
There is a headphones output and an AUX input - both are working great.
The built-in rechargeable battery is very good - I haven't tested for how long it lasts but so far it looks very promising.
Overall, I'm super happy with the mini amp.

I must begin by saying I'm a fan of Donner FX pedals (as can be seen from the attached image). I don't gig so the three pedals I have are perfect for home practice. I have reviewed them all and gave each one 5 stars. However, my purpose for mentioning and showing them is by way of providing you with a good idea of just how small the 5W Mini amp is. It's one thing to just have photos of an item, but that doesn't always translate into an understanding of actual physical size.
So - How good is the amp, and how versatile?
The first thing you notice is that despite having a plastic casing, it feels VERY sturdy and solid, weighing in at 490gm. That instantly gives you confidence. The battery already held some charge but I used the included lead and a 5v USB plug to fully charge it, at which point the indicator light turned white.
I won't detail the controls in detail beyond saying you have Treble/Middle/Bass + Gain for some overdrive and Master for volume. There is a 'Crunch' button for added distortion + Instrument in, Aux in and Earphone out. Apart from the on/off switch and DC5v point for USB charging, that's it. There are no inbuild FX.
In other words, this is a simple, small and basic workhorse amp without frills. And it's all the better for that as nothing has been wasted in terms of adding FX or rhythms. It does its job. The rest is up to you.
As for how well it does its job, that was where the real surprise came in.
Obviously, you won't be considering buying this amp for gigging or busking. Its primary usefulness is as a practice amp which has enough grunt to be heard in a good sized living room or bedroom, but would not be suited to anything beyond that. The quality of sound was MUCH better than I expected and even though it is labelled as an amp for electric guitar, I also tried it with my Fender PM-2E and Taylor 562CE.
With an electric guitar (Fender HSS Player and Squier mini Strat) the amp gave very clear tones and could be dialled to quite a high level of volume (within the limits I've already mentioned). By testing the Gain to maximum and dialling down the Master volume, there was an acceptable level of overdrive - but not too extreme. The 'Crunch' button certainly added distortion, but that could become a tad harsh. However, by judiciously juggling Gain and Master volume, a very acceptable level 'civilised growl' could be achieved . . . but again within the limited described previously.
With an acoustic guitar, it was more a case of the amp adding to the volume of the guitar itself rather than providing a completely separate output. With the PM-2E the amp worked best using just the Master volume and with barely any Gain. The Taylor is a loud guitar and the amp did not add a lot to that - but when played quietly, then the amp proved to be very effective. Again, I didn't use much if any Gain.
As for the 3 EQ controls, they are all very effective with a wide range of tone gradients. There were no sudden peaks or drop-offs. The earphone connection worked exactly as specified by Donner. Battery life also seemed to match their specification.
So, in conclusion, a genuinely surprising, useful and well built little amp that is perfect for practice or maybe for adding an extra layer of sound for a small-group singalong.

The Donner 5W mini Electric Amp is remarkably contact, way more than I thought.
The unit is a nice stylish design, it looks great and it's simple and easy to use. The amp doesn't require mains power and can run off of battery for up to four hours according to spec (although I have not tested it myself yet as I charge my devices most nights.
The volume capacity is very decent for the size of it and it comes with Gain, Treble, Middle, Bass, Master Control and crunch / clean controls.
Good quality and super compact unit at an affordable price.

This tiny, and I mean tiny, amplifier has surprisingly good sound. It really is as portable as any amp I've ever seen. It is has all the necessary ports needed to connect the (separate) adapter to my guitar. The internal rechargeable battery allows me to use the amp completely untethered to a power source, which is especially great. Importantly, it is well built, well designed and I get the impression I'll be getting many years of amplified sound from it.

Nice small guitar amplifier which is portable. It has internal rechargeable battery power makes is suitable use independently from main power.
Its not as laud as my big model, however for its physical size it has quite good volume.
Easy regulators on top, can change EQ as well. Easy to regulate to reach ideal preferred tone, bass , middle, Treble and be regulated,
Note that it takes 1/8 headphone output Jack.
Size around 10x 7x14cm quite nice and compact.

What a nice piece of kit this is, perfect for my electroacoustic
Sound quality is great, much better than my old one.
I think it's gonna last for years given the quality of the design.
Really happy with it, would make a perfect gift.
Happy to recommend.
