Donner Auto-Lock Guitar Wall Mount

These are excellent!!!I hung on them myself before placing my bass guitar in one and my acoustic guitar in another. My boyfriend was even jealous since these are better quality than the ones he had bought himself at a local music store. Great value for the price too! You just can't beat a deal like this especially in today's market.

I had to use my own screws as the ones supplied are too short to suffiantly screw into the rawl plug. The latching mechanism is adequate but not as robust as I'd hoped. I will be trying a different brand for the remainder of my guitars. There's nothing specifically wrong with these, but they're not as good as I'd hoped.

Decent for what you pay for it. Feel slightly cheap but work. Could be built stronger and smoother operation but then obviously they would cost more.

The hangers are fine

Able to hang hubbie’s guitars finally. Just make sure to use a stud as the plastic anchors are not quite sturdy enough.

I required a holder that was unobtrusive. The usual wood back plate style are cool but would’ve looked a little dated in my new place. These are sturdy and cost effective.

Definitely the best hangers I've found at a reasonable price. Easily holds my all metal tricone resonator.

I installed these a couple of weeks ago and I am very pleased with them! They are holding up great to my regular guitar playing habits. I pull each guitar down to play about once a day and switch them out for others every now and then. These hangers rock! Just make sure you install them correctly and you should be fine.

I have quite a few guitars, basses, ukes, etc and bought one of these mounts for every one of them. The locking mechanism keeps them safely hung and safe from being pulled down by younger kids. Easy to mount. Great product for the pro or casual musician.

These are decently well made, but be aware they stand a good distance from the wall so they work best for an acoustic guitar. The front face of my acoustic measures over 6” from the wall, which includes about 2” air space distance from back of guitar body to wall (measured at top of body). I guess this is okay for an acoustic guitar but looks rediculous for a thin body electric, like a fender Stratocaster guitar. I bought this 3 pack for a mix of 2 electrics and 1 acoustic but will just use for acoustics. I bought a couple of hangers from a local music store that work better for the electrics. Maybe they could modify these so the mounting plate that goes against the wall is thin (for hanging electrics), then they can include a wider spacer that optionally can go underneath the thin wall plate to make the distance further from the wall to accommodate the thicker acoustic guitars, that way both types can use this. Just a thought.

These are doing the job we expect them too and I like them a lot. However. I hung the first of these (3 pack) using the included hardware for drywall and immediately replaced these with a sturdier option form my local hardware store. The screws were cutting through the side of the anchor so that the anchor was not being pulled back to the wall properly. Just be prepared with quality hardware and your guitars will be safe.

No problem’s installing these wall mounts. Guitars now off the floor which were getting in the way on guitar floor stands.

Great hangers. Love the price for the 3 pack. But not without it's faults. No 1 flaw, the hanger has a sharp edge on a plastic corner(see pics) that can dig into the finish and wood of the headstock! It chipped out the back curve of my Gibson SG. So I took a small curved file to all my hangers and ground it down, perfect! No 2 flaw, The foam reacts with the finish on my guitars and starts to form a sticky residue on the headstock where it contacts the hanger. Comes off with cleaner, I just stick pieces of electrical tape down to pad the guitar from the hanger where it makes contact. Overall, great hangers with locking for the price, simple fixes to bypass flaws. PS...I woulnt trust drywall anchors. Screw into studs, or make your own wood rack like I did!

Seem very sturdy. I do think the opening is a little wide for my two Strats headstocks. Makes them hang a little crooked. No way I would hang my Telecaster in them as I feel it would slip through. Hard spot as I am sure it needs to be this big for an acoustic or perhaps a Les Paul. Super easy to install although the bolts included to hold the two pieces together could be a tad longer. I really cranked down to get them close to flush. Would also like to see the nut be a locking nylon nut. You don’t want this coming apart. Personally I would like some that are not stood off from the wall as far but again they would need to be this way if you had an acoustic or a hollow body. Just something to think about. Overall I am happy with them. Will check back in after they are up for a few months. While I am a handy guy and it was a no brained that I would need better anchors to hang my prized instruments in drywall, not everyone is. For gods sake put a piece of paper in the box telling people to NOT use the provided hardware to hang in drywall!

It’s a good thin lg that an extra screw was included. The screws are crap. Every hole had to be pre-drilled. Do not apply a lot of torque or the screw will shear off at the head even after a pilot hole was drilled. The lock feature is good as long as the headstock is symmetrical. If using on an instrument like a Les Paul, it works great. If using on a Fender such as a Strat or Jazz Bass, you may have to finesse it a little to get it to work correctly. All that said, I would buy them again and plan to do so. Seem sturdy enough to hold well. Heaviest thing I have if a Jazz bass. Is sturdy enough for this. The screws though…..

Nach Renovierung meiner "Mancave" stellte sich noch die Frage wohin mit den Gitarren und Bässen? Teils jahrelang im Koffer im Keller ist ja auch nicht schön, als hier im Fluss nach einer chicken Lösung gesucht und mit diesen Donner Gitarren Wandhaltern genau das gefunden was ich gesucht habe. Sehr schön verpackt, hochwertiger Karton (durchaus auch sehr gut geeignet für den lokalen Handel im Regal). Zum an die Wand anbringen brauchts lediglich eine (Akku-)/Bohrmaschine und Schraubendreher. Es liegen jedem Wandhalter 3 Dübel (für 6mm Löcher) sowie die passenden Schrauben (PZ1) bei. Benötigt werden aber nur 2. Tolle Sache von Donner hier eine Ersatzschraube/Dübel beizulegen. Etwas besser hätte ich mir die Möglichkeit der genauen Anbringung auf Putzuntergrund gewünscht. Jeder, der schon mal in Mauerwerk gebohrt hat weiß dass der Bohrer immer etwas "springt" und millimetergenaues bohren ist meist Glücksache. Hier wäre es wünschenswert oben ein Langloch oder zumindest etwas mehr Spiel zu haben um den Halter lotrecht anzuschrauben. Letzten Endes habe ich es auch so ganz gut hinbekommen. Die Halter machen einen sehr soliden Eindruck und lassen sich ungenutzt nach oben wegklappen. Wenn eine Gitarre drin hängt kann sie auch nicht von alleine rausfallen, hier schützt ein Mechanismus davor. Denn durch das Gewicht der Gitarre werden an der Front beidseitig kleine Sperren vor den Hals bewegt und gehen auf wenn die Gitarre angehoben wird. Sehr gute Idee. Alles in Allem lässt sich der Preis für 3 dieser Halter rechtfertigen. Das sind stylische Halterungen ganz nach meinem Geschmack, stabil und funktionell. Ich kann diese Halter nur empfehlen, waren bestimmt nicht die letzten. Auch meine Göga ist rundum zufrieden, jetzt stehen nicht mehr überall die Gitarrenständer rum. Die sind nun, zusammen mit den Gitarrenkoffern, in den Keller verbannt worden. Jetzt kann sie den Mop schwingen ohne ständig die Gitarren umstellen zu müssen. Denn der verheiratete Mann weiß - Happy Wife, happy Life. Absolute Kaufempfehlung.

Is a very good product. Looks nice, feels secure, protects the neck. The only thing is that for telecasters it rests on the 6th string tuner.

Sturdy , easy to install

Ich bin sehr positiv über die leichte Handhabung und die tolle stabile Qualität überrascht. Die Gitarren lassen sich zwar nur senkrecht aufhängen, aber so kann man die schnell mal zum klimpern abnehmen. Ist Geschmackssache und meinen Geschmack trifft es voll.

I want to give this a great 5 star and I am 100% positive that would if I was mounting a heavy instrument like a guitar. It was super easy to hang and it grips well onto my mandolin. The locking arms swivel up part way because my mandolin is a bit lighter than maybe the nice solid wood ones that I price out every weekend. Hopefully it is because of stiffer springs and with time the lock arms will swivel out fully.

It definitely saves space in our music room. Easy to get and to put up. Holds up perfectly.

This product is great unless you expect an anchor with no stud attachment to handle any guitar over 11 lbs. My acoustic works great with anchors and my 78’ Strat, very heavy guitar, works great attached to the wall stud.

When first removing the hangers from the box, I wasn't sure they'd be able to hold some of my heavier bass guitars without sagging. I was surprised that there was no dipping of the neck once I placed my heaviest 6-string bass on the Donner wall hanger.

Great product for the money. Your guitars may or may not hang perfectly vertical.

I'm not sure about sturdiness but it's holding up my 8 lbs strat and my 13 lbs bass for weeks now. Only time will tell if it can support the weight.

It’s great with having little kids that these lock such that the guitar must be lifted up to remove.

These are well made, very sturdy, and easy to install. The foam looks susceptible to wearing out especially on guitars with non symmetrical heads.

Awesome set of wall mounts. Super easy to install (a stud finder and level is helpful). At roughly $10 a wall mount, these do a fantastic job. I have all 3 installed along one wall, and I haven't ever come across any issues with the mounts. Plus, the added drop in locking mechanism is super rad and adds to a sense of security when I have to hastily put my guitar down.

I was originally looking for a 10 guitar rack for my studio but they were too expensive. The price of these hangers was well within my budget and they hold up extremely well. I cant speak on the quality of the included anchors as I was mounting directly into wood walls. The locking tabs are a little on the thin side but I have not seen any issues yet. Great product

get your own wall anchors or only attach to a stud. The ones that come with it will pull right out of sheet rock. Other than that they are great, look good, work well, and they are better than a rack or back in the cases every time you want to play. Just lift up and the arms swing away and its yours.

Good value and good idea to hang your guitars

These are easy to install and work well for several different instruments (banjo, mandolin, guitar). Occasionally you have to adjust the instrument a little to get the front pieces to secure it in place.

I bought two 3 Packs and promptly got six instruments out of cases and off the floor. As others have mentioned, if your instrument is not in a case under your bed, you'll no doubt find yourself playing more. It works! Also, why not show of your works of art? Better for your instruments and better for you!

I like the locking mechanism. It’s seems to work. I think over time the have begun to sag a little under the weight of my guitars. I wonder if they will stand the test of time. Overall I’m happy with them, but might change when I have a little more money anti something a little more robust and dose not sag over time.

These are great... easy to install (5 minutes) look very contemporary and hold both acoustic guitars perfectly. It really turned the guitars into works of art on the wall.

Mounts themselves are pretty solid. I have 3 on the wall right now that I trust completely. The hardware, unfortunately, is garbage. The plastic drywall studs don't expand and slide right out. The screws are slightly smaller than the studs and don't work. No other way to describe it but they just don't work. I used a set I have from lowes and mounted the brackets in ~15 minutes total. Over a month am going strong now.

The weight-activated locking mechanism is very satisfying to see in action and functions perfectly. post script: don't use the drywall anchors just go straight into the stud with the screws

Clips lock it in with the weight of the guitar, didn't know that when I bought it, but I like it. Good quality and design, however, I did use different anchors.

Nice set for the money

Does what it is supposed to. It does stick out of the wall quite a bit so its best for an accoustic guitar or similar. Smaller or thinner ones will hang sticking out.

I bought these for my fiancé for his birthday. He hasn’t gotten around to putting them up but he loves them. He said they are a lot like his other ones he’s had for years but at a much more affordable price.

The Dinner Locking Guitar Wall Mounts are fantastic for their price. They are sturdy even though they are made of plastic. I bought 12 of these and they all do a great job holding all of my different types of guitars, including my incredibly heavy bass. The only CON would be the bolt screw that holds the arm to the wall mount is a little difficult to screw in - you have to use a moderate amount of pressure to get it to screw into the nut. Otherwise, these guitar mounts are great and I will buy more (once my wife allows me to buy more guitars ;-)).
