Great set up! Tune and play! Many compliments from my friends. Made one small, easy change, which provided some advantages. Relocated the rear strap button to the back of the guitar. 1. Provided excellent balance. No neck dive whatsoever. 2. Strap does not interfere with tuners. 3. Easier access to output jack.
4. Prevents the tendency for the top of the guitar to lean out away from the player. Please see photo.

My experience has been very good. I got to travel. Guitar opened it up. I lowered all the string cradles by the bridge with an Allen wrench then adjusted the trash rod for the action. I also put 10 gauge strings on there.

I had to lower the action a good bit. One of the adjustments skews seemed very tight but I was able to get it to turn. After lowering the action to where I wanted it, the strings were touching the top of the humbucker so I had to lower the pickup. Also, the frets seem rather rough and need polishing but overall, it's still a great guitar for what I was wanting it for, a practice guitar for traveling.

Just got my hush x. Had to tighten the truss rod a bit and lower the saddles. The intonation was already on point.
The bridge pickup sounds surprisingly good.

I not only bought an X, I bought a Pro as well! Oh my God I actually LOVE these guitars! I brought the Pro to a gig, and it sounded just as good as my Gibson Jumbo! I was taken aback! And the X gives me my absolute favorite "throaty" Strat or Tele sound that I search for in guitars, but don't always find. And the bridge pickup is as rockin' as any Duncan or DiMarzio I have!
Both guitars are solid, the necks feel awesome, I am so glad I bought them both!plus, imagine walking into a gig with 2 gig bags that are about as large as a pool stick bag! It's insane!

This is a good travel/studio guitar that can be used anywhere. This is a good way to go if you're recording in a small home studio and don't want to bang your $2000 guitar around. It sounds good if you're a fan of single-coil pickups. I like a humbucker at the neck. And it can be made to sound good with some tweaking. It comes in a nice package with lots of extras and is well-made. Overall it's a nice guitar.

I am going to shave 1/4" off the neck. Installed strap locks. Will be changing my pups to double rail HB. It tends to lean away. I may put in a piece to tie the strap to the body to tip it back.

I've been playing guitar for many years and always have traveled with a portable guitar to remain current with the weekly lessons that I produce as a professor of music for a local college. The Donner HUSH-X guitar is ergonomically shaped to fit quite well for my playing style as it is suspended from my shoulders at a distance similar to the full-scale instruments that I play in Jazz Bands and Orchestras. Surprisingly, the instrument offers a good sound and possesses a sufficient weight to deliver a pretty nice tone. I take the Donner HUSH-X guitar to my rehearsals which produces a solid and projecting sound amongst the other instruments. The sound truly outweighs it's looks as a guitar which appears to be on a crash diet.

Nice little unit. Well constructed. Worth way more than you will pay for it. One of those guitars that if you work you way up to a ridiculously expensive guitar that needs its own insurance policy, you will want to keep this one due to convenience, construct and decent tonal quality that comes from it. Buy one, you will not regret it.

Decent guitar. A few gripes. The pickup selector feels brittle and rattles. The knobs feel brittle as well. Turning the tone knob also turns the volume, so it takes two hand to dial volume/tone. The metal wings also have play in them. The biggest headache is the bridge. The design is good, but the intonation screws are too long. When tuning my low E, it hits the string and actually pulls the saddle with it, ruining the intonation. I have to grind a few millimeters off of it. I half expected to make a few adjustments considering the price point. It has great playability though. I was able to take the action way down without any buzzing issues.

I love the guitar and the concept was exactly what I was looking for. My only complaint is that the action is quite high, even after straightening the neck and lowering the action until the set screws started to come out. It took two weeks to get a response from customer service and it is as if they didn't even read my concern. Per the response, though, it would seem that the action on my guitar is higher than the spec as I don't get to the factory setting even after lowering the action. I am a beginner guitar player, but I haven't come across why anyone would want the action as high as it is on my guitar at its lowest possible setting.
