I absolutely love this guitar so much, I’m a complete beginner and my expert guitar player friend said I made the best decision purchasing this guitar, the amp is so tiny great to start off with basic learning, I will buy a bigger and better one once I get the hang of it but for now I’m absolutely in love with this electric guitar

A great beginner guitar. If you are planning on starting electric you won’t find a better budget/performance/looks balance. The guitar itself looks like a 1,500 Strat, the finish is amazing. The kit has everything you need to get started, although you will probably want to make an amp upgrade pretty soon. It sounds incredible for the price and feels really good in the hands. Definitely a great buy.

I am having a blast with this guitar. I bought it because I needed a kick around electric that wasn't going to cost me an arm and a leg. After a minor tune-up and adjustment. It was ready to go. Undoubtedly I will get higher end guitars, but this Donner will always be a part of my arsenal. Well done Donner.

My kid loves it

This was amazing value for me as a newbie learning guitar with no real specific standards. It works great to me. The amp is surprisingly small and portable and loud enough for my purposes of playing privately so far. All the extra accessories are so nice and convenient. It’s everything you need except maybe a guitar stand.

A great beginners guitar! I am used to cheap guitars that have inotation problems but after swapping out the strings and adjusting the saddles, it inotated perfectly! It comes with everything that is needed right from out of the box, a complete kit. It comes with a mini amp which is great for picking up and having a quick practice session. A clip on tuner that works well. Even picks! The guitar feels great in hand and is built well. I adjusted the action a tiny bit lower to my own personal preference. I will be definitely looking at their other items such as pedals next.

I’ve been playing for over 30 years, and have had clunkers as well as gems throughout, and had no illusions that this was anything other than what it was-an inexpensive starter that could most likely turn out to be a bust. Pleasantly surprised! Pros: Packaged well, nothing broken/damaged. Beautiful finish-no blemishes or scratches. Pickups and switches work fine. Tuning pegs and bridge installed properly. Little amp that came with it worked, as did the tuner. Cons: Fretwork was-not surprisingly-rough, although I totally expected that, because you can spend $1k and still have sharp frets from whatever manufacturer you buy from. I did a complete setup on it (which I would do on ANY guitar), and got the frets as smooth as any top end guitar out there. The intonation was almost perfect-some slight adjustments was all it took, no buzzing or dead spots. In short-this is a great guitar for the money, and the shortcomings with the frets are very easily overcome. It’s a huge improvement over my first strat copy so many years ago, and I’d have no problem having one myself along side my favorites. My nephew loves it-and that’s all I was hoping for!

for someone with small hands/short fingers it is a bit of a struggle at first but eventually your hands will be accustomed to stretching and strength on fingers. overall id rate it a 4.5/5 because of the shipping, slight scratches and missing parts, but the guitar itself is good. the amp is decent for beginners, but probably not for someone who is a professional. the bag itself is stable and does the job.

This was our Grandson's (Boogie) 15th birthday gift. The guitar is beautiful!! He's played it a few hours a day since he got. He tells me the amp is awesome for carrying to the park. He is also loving the learning part of the HSS configuration with all the variations it offers. He's also told me the whammy bar has yet to pull it out of tune and he loves that quite a bit as well. As for Grandma and I, we're very happy with his joy, and can't thank Donner enough for delivering such a high quality package (accessories included) at such an affordable price range! Very good quality guitar for super low cost. Perfect for a beginner who may have a limited duration of playing. As a drummer for many years it is not the first time I decided to play guitar so cost was a concern. This kit has everything you need for a few bucks. Just charge the amp and plug n play! Perfect!

It's pretty good for the price and if you have a better amp it would probably sound better than it does because the amp included is sort of cheap quality but for beginners, it's just fine. The only downside to this product is that I don't think the tone knobs on my guitar work since I try messing with them and I don't hear a difference or it might just be me since I am still pretty new to electric guitars. Overall I think this is pretty beginner-friendly and would be a great first electric guitar for those who want to give it a try.

Guitar was ok one of the tuning pegs is broken nothing I wasn't going to replace anyway so not a big deal just getting them sooner than I thought.

4 stars only because the E string broke after one month of playing, but for the price I guess I couldn’t expect much more. They also gave me an extra set of strings in case that happened so that’s a plus. Other than that I’m super happy with it. It’s a beautiful guitar and plays great!

Neck was smooth, came with beginner-pack items, and very nice sound quality! Price was great value considering all of the extra goodies it came with as well as how clean the guitar sounds. The mini amp is perfect for practicing in your room. Loving Donner!

Honestly, this was a shot in the dark when I ordered it, as I didn't know what to expect when buying my first guitar. However, upon getting it in 2020, I've yet to regret any bit of my choices. The body was well done, and the paint along with finishing was amazingly done. The neck wasn't warped, which was my main concern. The pickups were quite versatile, going from clean then to adding distortion was smooth, and didn't hinder any of the sound quality. Personally, I'd highly recommend ordering this guitar for a starter as it's fair priced, and the starter practice amp is a good if you don't have another amp. I would order from Donner, as they haven't let me down with their product. I have nothing bad to say honestly, even now I'm happy to pick it up from my fleet of guitars, and strum away for hours.

The guitar came with a bad amp input thingy. When plugging the amp into the guitar it’s extremely wiggly and slides out back and forth a tad bit, just enough to make it cut out sound unless you use the whammy bar to hold the cord. I also bought this guitar but black and it came with no issues and I use it daily. The sunburst guitar also came with a screw extremely loose (it fell out when I wasn’t looking, thank god I found it.) on the part that the whammy bar makes go down, no clue what it’s called. Some issues like I said but works great it if doesn’t come with issues. There are cheaper and better looking guitars though I would look around some more if it’s your first guitar like it was mine. I was quick to buy one and since then I’ve found better and cheaper.

This guitar is amazing! The amp looks small but it has a ton of kick, I love how you only need to charge it and don’t have to keep it plugged into a wall! The guitar is amazing, I had some few sharp edges on the metal pieces but nothing severely sharp. I 100% recommend this as I’m a starter myself and am having an amazing experience learning.

After 2 failed attempts with a different brand ( first one arrived broken as did the replacement that was sent) I decided to try this Donner setup, I’m 56 and have never played guitar in my life, when the box arrived boy was I blown away by the package, this is an extremely beautiful starter guitar and has absolutely everything you need to get started right out of the box. The only one thing I will say is ad says free online lessons I never got anything in the box to say how to get them although it shows some kind of card in the pictures, I am using a different online learning app and this guitar is definitely worth every penny. The little amp is great for its size as are the accessories that come with…all in all I’m really happy with this purchase and recommend it to anyone out there that wants to learn….

This guitar was playable once the strings were tuned up. Very comfortable and stayed in tune. Hands were able to move up and down the neck without frets cutting them up, very pleased.

This electric guitar is perfect for beginners, even intermediate or advanced players on a budget. It’s 100% worth the money. (It’s similar to a fender stratocaster) For the cons, it has some minor issues on the body such as problems in the whammy bar as it doesn’t work as expected. Other than that, most of your expectations about this guitar may be true.

I believe this a great beginner's guitar. The guitar sounds great and the amp too. With everything that's in this package, it's completely worth the price. The tuner has some trouble picking up the low E string and I would invest in a new set of strings if you bent the strings.

Pretty good guitar but upon trying to tune it after opening the box two of the strings snapped before they were even fully tuned.

I ordered this for my son as a birthday gift. He wanted one like his older brother’s but I couldn’t find it in blue (his favorite color) but I came across this guitar that came with more than my other son’s did and seems like a lot better quality for about the same price. He was shocked and so excited when he opened it up and checked it out. This was a great buy. I ordered Lake Blue and the attached photo is what it looks like in person.

I just received it last week. After tuning it up, I started playing right away. After playing with it everyday for I week, I love it even more. Holds a tune great. Just minor tuning adjustments each . The pickups are good enough to learn on and practice with. If you're playing gigs, MAYBE you may think of upgrading. The extras are just that, extras. The little amp is great to practice on, decent sound, but not high volume. But loud enough for you to hear yourself play. For the price, I'm very happy with it, and I would DEFINITELY buy it again.

I've started and stopped playing guitar on and off for years. To make matters worse I'm a bass player, everything is bigger and thicker and the basses I've ended up with are the high end Fenders. I get to try out other high end guitars from people I play with. Feels like a start. Since this guitar got such high reviews I chose this one to give it another go at playing the guitar. For less than$200 I thought why not. I was hoping it would be good enough to give away to a budding guitarist if I gave up playing again. If I would have had a guitar like this when I first started playing I'd still be a Six stringer. It plays easy enough, the frets are nice, finish is what it is supposed to look like for a new guitar. I honestly can't compare it to any style or maker other than what it is and what it claims to be. There's plenty of reviews here on Amazon and a bunch on YouTube. It sounds good when I plug it in an amp (bass). I know I'll enjoy learning how to play it. Gig bag is fine, amp is a small amp, good for what it is, I got the new and improved one with mine. Strap and cord is ok. Shipping took a little longer then first promised but it was only a few days late, attribute that to good old winter weather. Like I said I'm not a guitar player but this is going to work out well for me.

the Guitar was exactly what i expected. the only thing i have found wrong are the tuning keys. they are sloppy and will not hold tune very well. I can remedy this problem by replacing the Donner tuning keys with an upgrade to a set of Fender Strat keys. Outside of this minor problem i am satisfied with the guitar. I will purchase items from Donner in the future.

The guitar came with all the accessories needed for my daughter. She is totally happy with the color and well crafted electronic guitar from you. The mini amp also gave her another joy of playing different songs and she loves it a lot.

I'm just learning so I took it to a friend's band practice to see what it's capable of.... WOW ! Took a few minutes to lower the action a little, to stretch the strings and break them in while tuning the guitar to standard tuning. Then away he went. He normally plays his Fender Player series Stratocaster on a Fender Deville amp with a nice set of pedals,, when he took my DST-100 and began playing I was blown away ! It sounded as good as his Strat. He played for about an hour, bending those strings making that axe cry, sing, and growl... when finished he was amazed at how it stayed in tune, and played so well. He said he couldn't tell any difference in it and his Strat, that I sure got my money's worth ! Now for me to continue learning so I can play it to it's potential... I've heard and seen it. Fit, Finish, sound it's all I could ask for.
