The guitar it great! And the amp is very impressive.

For the price u can’t beat it just get a setup get some new strings in and it’s ready to go. The mini amp that comes with it I would recommend it as a little travel amp where u can’t plug a amp at such as beach or on the road. Over all I’m satisfied

As a beginner, I would have appreciated more documentation being included as to features/functions and their uses. I viewed some reviews before purchasing and they seem to universally indicate this was a great value for a beginner setup.

The package came with everything pictured, and it was a real good price, even beginners Squier Strats are expensive compaired to this, and the HSS setup is perfect to thrash with. Keep up the low prices, and you will have a shopper for life.

The guitar is nice and it looks tough it just needs a little set up but it it's good for the money feels pretty comfortable and has the right weight

I am pretty happy with this over all. I was a little bit Frustrated with the delivery but it come with everything promised on the order. I never played guitar before but at the beginning the last 2 string Sound Bazzi (string E,B) Because it touched the freight and I take it apart and assembly together by watching YouTube video and reading some articles.

Great for beginners and even intermediate players. Sounds just as good as any other electric guitar. However, if you’re looking to play heavy metal this guitar isn’t for you. I can feel it’s a very sturdy and quality build guitar, and is a bit heavy even. Overall really happy with everything, the mini amp packs a punch!! I’m going to be buying a Jackson soon as I’m interested more in heavy metal. But you will find this guitar lasting you a very long time if you take care of it of course.

Taking a chance on an unknown company can bring joy or sadness. Sometimes it’ll bring plenty of either, and on a rare occasion both. I’m happy to say that Donner is bringing joy with their Standard Series.

I play acoustic most of the time. I like to play for my kids to help them wind down at night before bed... but have been wanting to mess around with power chords and grinding out some heavier rock.... The Donner came through like a champ. Seriously can't believe everything you get at this price. Excellent deal.

Strongly recommend this for any beginner. At this price point you are getting great quality and amazing value. If you improve and want to step up, then that is a different story, but if you either just play casually or learn casually or don't really do much more, you get a great guitar that doesn't break the bank.

it looks very pretty

For the price point of this guitar I wasn't going into this purchase expecting a whole lot. I was extremely surprised at the quality of the packing alone. It was boxed very well and the guitar was well wrapped to prevent damage. The first thing I looked at was the neck. They don't state in the specs the radius but I am guessing it is at least a 12" radius. The strings were super high as most guitars come from the factory. I was able to get the action pretty low on both sides. A little less than a nickles width. That is generally how low I run all my guitar action. The neck quality is outstanding and the nut isn't bad. The only negative for me on the neck is the fret size. I like Jumbo or Medium Jumbo but these are all level and there is no buzzing. The frets are dressed nicely and there are no burs when sliding your hand down the neck. It came with 9's on it and a spare pack of strings. The guitar is comfortable to play and you should have no issues playing lead with the radius on this neck. This kit didn't leave anything out. The included turner was very easy to use and worked well. The mini amp is pretty cool. Charge it on your PC and rip away! The guitar cable that it came with is not the normal junk cable that comes with beginner level guitars. It is a good quality cable. I was even impressed with the included capo. It went on even and with good pressure and the guitar stayed in tune once it was on. Some capos you have to play around with the position on the neck.The good surface contact could be due to the radius of the neck. The guitar strap is more than adequate for the guitar and decent quality. All in all this is a great purchase for a beginner, it comes with everything a kid to rock out!!

I own several guitars and have been playing for many years. I originally purchased this guitar to have a stratocaster I could eventually modify with custom pickups and other hardware. It's an attractive guitar, surprisingly comparable in aesthetics and feel to far more expensive guitars in this style. The creamy colors and finish on the body of the guitar are attractive.

Donner hasn't been making guitars long but that doesn't mean this is not a good guitar. This was purchased as a gift and is just right as a starter guitar. Namely, if he doesn't stay with it, we're not out a bunch of money. And with that comment, we're not setting up for failure, just testing how interested he is in a guitar. One of the problems with cheap guitars is that if they are difficult or frustrating to play, the student may quickly lose interest. So far that's not been the case and electrics are a little easier to learn on because the frets are a little easier to manage and there's less finger stretching than an acoustic. I'm learning on an acoustic and found while testing this guitar out that the electric was easier. The amp that comes in this set is a great idea and works. He lives in an apartment and even though you can practice playing an electric without an amp, it's more enjoyable with the sound coming through a little louder but not disturbing the neighbors. There's not much more of an improvement with the more expensive beginner guitars (Fender Squire, Ibanez) to justify paying up to twice as much. I want one for myself now and would purchase this Donner set for myself.

I purchased this kit for my 16 year old son, who is a very beginner musician as a Christmas present. He was thrilled to get an electric guitar- he has a very inexpensive acoustic guitar already. This is a much higher quality instrument compared to that. I actually ordered this item twice- I bought the left-handed version, thinking that was how my left-handed son plays guitar, but it turns out he actually plays a right-handed instrument. Return at my local Kohls store was super easy and I re-ordered the right-handed version right away. Shipping in both cases was on time. The outer box was a little banged up and flimsy, but the inside box that contains the guitar and kit was fine. As a beginner guitarist, my son actually wasn't sure what to do with all the items in the kit. There are no instructions, other than one that comes with the amp. So far, the amp does not appear to be very loud. We are happy with the purchase, and my son looks forward to learning and playing the instrument.

This was the perfect set for my younger sister who is a beginner and has just started learning about electric guitars. It was really convenient that I was able to purchase everything included as a set or else I wouldn’t have known what to buy! You definitely get a good value for your money and can stay within a budget without sacrificing good craftsmanship. Would recommend

I was looking for an inexpensive 'beater' guitar that I could take with me anywhere and not worry about damaging it. I own a few USA Fender models and because of their value I didn't feel right about hauling them around. This kit includes all the bits that a beginner would need. In addition to the guitar you get a strap, cord, tuner, picks, capo and spare strings; plus a battery-powered mini-amp. If you're a guitar player then you would already have these items of course...but they are of good quality and certainly great to have as backups (or little presents to any young beginners you may be working with). The guitar itself looks great. The paint job is excellent and it looks very pleasing to the eye. You'd easily mistake it for a much more expensive guitar. The guitar was also very well packed, and I noted that they'd put a layer of protection between the fingerboard and the strings for shipping purposes. My last USA Fender that I bought in 2011 didn't even have this; and as a result there was some scarring on the frets from rubbing strings. But none of that with this Donner guitar. I didn't attach any pictures to this review because another reviewer did; mine arrived looking exactly the same. Quality-wise, I would rate this as equal to a Squier Affinity Stratocaster. The neck was easily adjustable and the bridge saddles are of good quality and very easily adjustable too. The action at the nut was acceptable and I was able to get it set up to my liking in the normal amount of time. Going over the fingerboard with my FretRocker, there were no high frets; an amazing thing for a guitar in this price range. One thing that helped me decide to try this Donner guitar was the humbucker configuration at the bridge; something that you'd pay quite a bit more to get in a Squier. The mini-amplifier that comes with the kit is an absolute blast! Yes, it's dinky but that's the beauty...it's so portable and sounds much better than you'd think. It has an AUX IN jack as well as a HEADPHONE OUT. There is a distortion channel that you can access by sliding a switch on the back of it. The included accessories are of good quality. Certainly better than what you'd expect in a beginner's kit. When you factor in the quality of the guitar, the utility of the amp and the accessories, you just can't beat the value of this package. For a beginner, it's literally EVERYTHING you need to get started. The fact that you get change back from a $200 bill is just amazing to me. I wish I'd had this when I first started playing guitar. I'd have saved myself some serious money.

Not bad.......packed well and all parts were there. It is a beginners guitar, but definitely worth the money. The little amp is actually pretty powerful, especially in the "distortion" mode. Neck was straight and appears to be solid oak. Strings aren't great, but not terrible either. Some instructions on how to change strings on this model would be helpful. All in all, I'm satisfied.

As a beginner still trying to learn to play the guitar I’d definitely say this is the best option. It’s cheap and comes with a complete accessory kit and a mini amp. The guitar has nice weight but I would recommend changing the strings for better sound quality. For the price it comes with a great starter amp, it’s small and easy to move around, it has a distortion and clean channel, tone, master volume and gain knobs. Overall this is a great starter guitar to fiddle around with and gain some experience.

Great for beginners. I started on the acoustic before, and I was interested in getting to play electric this summer. I decided to buy this because it included the amp, cord, as well as several more add-ins. The guitar is pretty good quality. The amp is decent. Since it’s a smaller size, it’s great for storage and moving around. The only drawback is that the sound quality isn’t as loud as I expected, but it works well for my living situation. I’ve been playing it on a daily basis since I’ve gotten it, and the guitar is solid. I’ve been enjoying playing it so often, that my family gets annoyed at me. The strings feel great when I’m strumming. There’s also extra strings that this comes with, and I’m glad to feel reassured that it’ll be a while before I have to replace them. I also like how there’s several more buttons to adjust the tone and sound on the guitar. Usually I tend to choose the clear sounds on the amp, but the distorted option is great for songs like “Smells Like Teen Spirit.” Overall, a great buy that I don’t regret! Great starting option for beginners!

This is a really good guitar package for a very fair price. It is better quality to other guitar packs I have tried. The guitar is nicely finished and plays well. The accessories are also a cut above entry level The guitar arrived well set up and sounds very "Stratty" so full marks there. There is no stand included (If you're getting a comprehensive package a stand would be nice) and there was a little bit of fret sprout on frets 15 and higher. Not a big deal and an easy fix but still... All in all a very good guitar and accessories package for a good price. A Bluetooth "aux in" circuit for the tiny but decent sounding amp would be a great addition and would make the package that much better

This is a great start for a beginner guitar player. It has absolutely everything you will need in one package. I did a great lot of research and ended up with Donner. This guitar has a very reasonable price but don't be fooled by its low price. This guitar has a very nice high-end feeling touch. The guitar itself is gorgeous. Even better, it comes with all the accessories you can ever imagine that you may be using as a novice guitar player. It's very easy to put together and get started. The instructions are clear. We are totally satisfied and appreciate the nice product. We would definitely recommend it.

I bought this electric guitar as a Christmas gift for my 11 year old. He expressed an interest in learning to play, so I wanted to get him something that wouldn’t break the bank. I liked that it came with everything he needed to get started. We ended up signing him up for lessons and the instructor found this kit to be more than adequate for a beginner. I only took off a star because I know absolutely nothing about guitars so I can’t really speak to the quality or technical aspects, but I can say that my kiddo loves it.

Great product for this price. High quality finish. The only problem I had was when I tried to remove the protective plastic - it’s impossible to remove it fully without undoing the strings.

Guitar works quite well for the price. Couple things you may want to change if you want a higher quality sound would be the pickups and a higher quality set of strings. Overall I'm happy with my purchase, this is a great guitar for beginners or someone trying to get a new guitar on the cheap.

This guitar is great for beginners. I would not recommend it to people who have already been playing electric guitar as they will want to move on quickly. The fret board is decent but the frets themselves are okay. It's great for kids as well as they first will need to learn finger placements and positioning. Overall I recommend it for anyone who wants a decent beginner guitar without having to break the bank. Seeing that left-handed guitars are hard to find already and are usually more expensive this should be a no-brainer for beginners on electric guitar.

I bought it as a Christmas present for my daughter. She loves it and practices every day. She has played other instruments but she loves her guitar.

This is a economic quality guitar for a beginner. It keeps a tune for a couple days but the included tuner makes it very easy for someone to keep it in tune. My only real complaint is the pickups, they are fairy lackluster and lacking depth. Don't let that be the reason you look for another guitar though because at this price it's rock solid. Learn how to play on this and then pick up a nicer (and a lot more expensive) guitar. Pros: The finish quality on the neck is pretty good. I didn't need to sand down the metal on the frets at all. It's very smooth. Included amp is plenty loud enough for practicing and learning guitar. Case is very basic but works for transport, not ideal for protection but this isn't a Stratocaster or a Flying V so it's fine. Cons: Loses its tune after a few days, not a deal breaker for me anyhow, it will get beginners used to tuning a guitar. Pickups are lacking in sound depth. Not a big deal for someone learning guitar at all. This is not something I would preform on at a concert venue but it's something I would personally gift someone who is learning.

From the robust feel and weight, the spotless sunburst finish, the complete accessory kit, and mini amp, this package has EVERYTHING a beginner needs to get started. I am a public high school music teacher who has guitar classes and after testing it myself and passing it through a few of my students, I am convinced that this package is worth every penny. My students all said the feel and amp were great and that the accessory package has everything a beginner needs! They estimated the price of the kit from $150-350 so they were obviously impressed. The gig bag is adequate for transporting the guitar with all of its accessories in the front pocket. The amp is small enough to fit in a kid's hand too. The amp has adequate volume for isolated practice and has a distortion and clean channel, master volume, tone, and gain knobs to ice the cake! MP3 in, headphones out, and mini USB charging capabilities are the extra icing as well. Remember, keep realistic expectations for this guitar. It's not a pro guitar so you will have intonation issues despite setup, you may have slight imperfections, and the pickups won't be monstrous. However, for what it is and keeping reasonable expectations, this BEGINNER GUITAR KIT is a great start for new rockers!!
