I love it! It DOES sound and play just like a real acoustic piano! It blends into my home seamlessly, and adds warmth to any space!

Let’s get into this donner! What a great keyboard. I’m going to go through the pros and cons!
Pros: It’s an impressive sound! Very realistic, warm, acoustic sound. It sounds less like an electric keyboard and more like a small, real piano which is very cool. This thing is so beautiful, easy to put together, and very fun to play. The keys are so heavy and realistic feeling as well!
Cons: I don’t love the pedals that this keyboard comes with. They seemed great at first and I love the matching color but even after a few long days of playing, I notice the dreaded creaky noises that I do not love in a keyboard pedal. I use my own sustain pedal now ($25) and this donner comes with a port for it! So problem solved. I also want to note that even though the sound is amazing for its price, it’s under a thousand dollars, don’t expect it to sound like a $10K grand piano! Overall I’m very pleased with this instrument and I’ve played piano for 12 years. I wanted a smaller, prettier version of what I had and donner nailed it with this one!
Josiah K.
I really enjoy the hammer action and sound, good quality for the price!

I am really happy with the purchase of this piano. I was on the fence for a long time, having learned on, grown up with and had my experiences with acoustic pianos. Classically trained and used to be forced to participate in recitals and competitions, which I did not really enjoy. Now I'm grown and had been away from any the piano for 30 years! I really wanted to get back into what I liked about playing. Just for me or captive friends... I had a truncated electric keyboard I received as a gift from someone who isn't a player. Well meaning, but horrible! I didn't like the fakeness of it, the electronic sounds, the fact that it wasn't 88 keys, etc. So I was nervous about this being that kind of experience. The first thing that warmed my heart about this was that depending on how hard or soft you strike a key, the note will be correspondingly loud or soft. So you can play with some feeling, convey a mood!! Crescendo effectively! I find the tones to be rich, warm and decidedly "piano" and not "keyboard". I appreciate that very much! Solid, won't require annual tuning, etc. Beautiful and sleek, not taking up a lot of space. The only thing that I am not entirely happy with is the sustain pedal. Mine needs to be depressed really hard for the desired effect and sometimes doesn't catch certain notes, making it sound clipped and harsh just when you are going for smooth and lingering. Not a huge deal, I'm not giving concerts, but worth mentioning. Yet and still, I love it and am enjoying this instrument thoroughly!

I just got this today… so excited to start playing the piano again. I was worried because a few reviews in amazon showed that some keys were not producing sound. So, I watched professional reviews in youtube and I found the reassurance I needed. Even professional pianists were happy with it…that was the deal breaker.. I bought this because I wanted a fully weighted digital piano that will blend with my home furniture.. and this was perfect! My old one was a Korg with a traditional black casing which was very out of place. It does not come with a dust cover, so I suggest you get one. Today is day 1 of me playing with it. I will update this review if I encounter any issues. Hope this helps..

It is beyond me to understand why no other brand makes a digital piano that looks good in your home. But here we are. Your choices are Shiny black, shiny white, or black. Sorry, but Donner completely wins this one for me. This piano is simply beautifully designed. HUGE compliments to the design team. the fake wood grain is nearly convincing even up close, and the color is well done. Mechanically, I asked a concert pianist to play it and he had noting but positive things to say. They did a great job with the keys, they feel and respond like a mid-range decent piano. Donner was smart and saved money by only loading ONE piano sample in here - that's right, you don't get to chose from 100 sounds you'll never use. Not even different piano types. Just one. One well sampled good sounding piano. Like a real piano. Last thing I REALLY love about this piano is that they hid all the controls on the back of the piano. so you buttons, no lights. Like a real piano, except it never goes out of tune. Ever. And the price is fantastic for what you get.
Kathryn L.
Delivery was fast and efficient. Beautiful piano! We love the wood grain! The bench is comfortable and holds our sheet music.
Sounds like the real deal but fits nicely in our tiny house.
Headphone jack in the back is a bonus for when the grandkids "have fun" playing it.

I am so happy with my piano. I downsized and my upright piano wasn’t not going to fit my new living space, so I decided to get a slim classy alternative and this fit the bill. The feel and sound are very comparable to my upright. Plus it was easy to assemble:). I’m definitely glad I made the purchase.

Donner DDP-80 Digital Piano Review (Walnut Color) by violinia.de
Candice
I’m so happy I purchased this! I must preface that I do not know how to play the piano. I bought this keyboard so I could learn but mostly for my kids to learn. I do play other instruments though so I can tell by the sound when something is off. All the keys worked well and the sound was good. I saw some reviews where not all of the keys worked. I did not have this issue. Someone also made a comment about the color of the feet being blue. That’s actually just the protective plastic you have to take off so the metal doesn’t get scratched. It was packaged well and had no cosmetic issues whatsoever. The keys do not feel like a piano but they are nicely weighted. This feels as close as I think a keyboard could get. If you’re looking for the true feel of a piano you’ll have to buy a piano. When I attempted to plug in two different sets of my kids headphones you could not hear in the headphones. I don’t know if this is an issue with type of headphones or what but the sound on the piano did turn off as noted in the manual and still no sound in headphones so I’ll have to look into that as I did not give it much attention this evening. Could be user error? After much research I settled on this design and the look of this is beautiful. The wood is not that orange/gold/yellow fake wood color. I was worried since I’ve purchased things before and they don’t look like the picture. Overall it gets five stars!
Cole J.
Kids love it. Has pretty decent sound. I wish the volume control has easier accessibility than being on the back in a recessed spot. Can't be put up all the way against the wall. Decent quality on finishes, although it does have a few rougher spots on the veneer finish strips. Overall I'm satisfied. Glad it was on sale when I purchased it.
Tia K.
What a beautiful digital piano. Have nothing but great things to say about Donner!
Melissa C.
I absolutely love it! Thank you. Beautiful and plays like a real piano. Has weighted keys and it s gorgeous. So easy to put together. LOVE!
Laura Dawn M.
We love this piano so much...it looks amazing in our house, plays and feels just like a real piano...couldn't be happier with this purchase, plus my daughter can practice with headphones on. 5 stars!
Jacqueline Olivia W.
Both the feel and the sound of this keyboard are better than most pianos I’ve played! Very dynamic, smooth and realistic.
Jenna R.
Perfect for my five year old daughter! Bought key stickers on Amazon and a few books to start her off and so far so good! :) We are still learning how the 3 pedal thing works.

Exceptional equipment brought to Bogotá, Colombia! We're set to make the brand famous. Additionally, we express our interest in representing your brand should you consider expanding operations in the area.
Gloria A.
Purchased the piano for my boyfriend for Christmas. He loved it so much! The quality is impeccable, touch of details definitely took place when creating this piano. The packaging and putting it together were an ease. Recommend this for your home ,it looks amazing and I love that they have different colors to offer. It looked a part in our condo.
Robert S.
Sounds great. Plays great. Looks great.
Thomas B.
Absolutely BEAUTIFUL piano - a piece of art in itself. The weighted keys feel exactly like the pianos I played growing up, and the sound is perfect (especially through headphones). I definitely recommend this amazing instrument if you're looking for something that's of great quality, not too expensive, and that really looks more like a mid-century piece of art than an electronic keyboard.
Jaclyn M.
Super stylish, compact, sounds great for a digital piano, and the weighted keys make it feel so nice.
Bubz
This space is almost complete. So glad I sold that piece of trash peloton bike lol. Rekindling an old hobby
Maksym N.
It sounds better than what Costco and other big box stores offer, on the same hand it's cheaper than Yamahas of this world. Complements interior very nicely. So far we like it a lot for the price paid.
Peyton S.
5 stars for the piano alone. If I was rating customer service I'd give 0 stars if I could. Will not be buying here again because of the poor customer service I received.
Jamie S.
So beautiful. Simple. Love it
François R.
It's funtastique i love it thanks
Landon W.
Overall, this is a quality piece of equipment that sounds very nice. My only complaint, and it's the reason this did not get 5 stars from me, is that the power button doesn't seem to be 100% responsive (very slow to turn the piano on and sometimes doesn't register presses) and the volume knob is very loose where there's a lot of wiggle and play when it's being operated.
Kijun S.
Very satisfied with the piano
Carole J.
I played classically for most of my life and have not had a piano for years. I am extremely happy with the look, the sound, the features. Of course it's not a Steinway... but I wasn't expecting one. It is perfect and I highly reccommend for even advanced piano player who does not have space or budget for another piano!
Herry M.
The quality exceeded my expectations!
Max G.
I originally bought one in a natural wood color and it is very good quality. My sister wanted one too but didn't want the same color as me so she got this one in walnut and it's a great color!
Jim L.
My first piano! I've had my eye on this piano for a long time and was just about to order it when I found out about the new color, and I love the understated, high-class color!
Courtney E.
I had been looking at this piano for some time, just based off of how nice it looked. I have always wanted to learn piano but never had the luxury of being able to take lessons. When I was younger I ended up getting a very small keyboard to practice on, and I would also practice scales on the real pianos at school. It feels so much better to play on a real piano than a keyboard that has no resistance or weight to it.I pulled the trigger on this as a holiday gift for myself, so I can fulfill my dream of learning to play now as an adult. I’ve been using Pianote which is a great resource, and the piano’s MIDI capability works great with my laptop. This piano feels as close as you can get to a real piano. I was thrilled when I first tried it and felt how accurate the weighted keys are. They feel heavier in the lower register and lighter in the higher register. The sound sounds amazing to me, and I don’t feel the need to use headphones or an amp, though I am a beginner and don’t have a lot of experience with different pianos. The sound and feel of it are both so great I don’t even think about it not having the features most keyboards have. I wanted to just play piano, and for that this is perfect. I’ve had this now for about a month and it has brought me so much joy and happiness. Practicing on it is the best part of my day. I don’t normally write reviews, but felt compelled to for this piano. I don’t feel that I will need to upgrade to a real piano for a very long time, which is good because I don’t have the space for one!So if you’re someone who is interested in fulfilling your or someone else’s dream of playing the piano, this is a great piano to start with.
Michael W.
It's a good sounding machine, has a great aesthetic. I recommend using some good headphones for it (ignore the white cable, that's for my router, not the keyboard).
Yesi Y.
I received the bench several days before the piano. The bench will stay up if you open it all the way, but be cautious not to keep it partly open or you may jam your finger like I did… don’t say I didn’t warn you.As for the color. As many have stated, they do not match. I provided a side by side photo to compare. The bench is similar, but has a red tint while the piano seems more of a yellow wood.I don’t mind because it could pass for the shadow since it’s lower than the piano. I still think they look great together. The pedal feels like a hard plastic and reminds me of a cognac leather color. The legs of the piano are metal but you can’t really tell unless you get up close and personal. So unless you’ll crawl under it, shouldn’t be a problem! :)I am new to piano (or any instrument) and I love the weight of the keys. If they were any softer it may be easy for me to goof it up.If you’re gifting this, note that my keyboard box arrived with the original Donner box name and image of a keyboard on the box, making it so that anyone seeing it will immediately know what’s inside.Update: I’ve been playing it every single day (often twice a day) for two weeks now. Still love it!
Jason M.
I read the reviews and watched YouTube reviews and despite all the positive feedback I was skeptical.Honestly the faux wood was a concern. I just knew it was going to look cheap… it doesn’t. It’s surprisingly nice. The sound, build and action are all more than I expected for the price. My only complaint is the power switch. It would be nice to have a true switch instead of a mushy button that doesn’t actually click to let you know you turned it on. Oh yeah and hex screws instead of Philips head would be really nice for assembly.
Liz A.
I absolutely love this piano! The weighted keys feel natural to play. It fits perfectly in our homeschool room, I love that I can adjust the volume to fit our needs. My complaint is that the petals are cheap so I don’t see them lasting very long and one of them already squeaks after a short two weeks. The only difference that I hear while playing is that the pedal does not hold a note the same. A true acoustic piano holds the note and then picks up the hold on new notes while keeping the sound of the other note in the background. This piano keeps them all at the same volume, which can almost be distracting. All in all it’s a beautiful purchase that fit our space and needs.
Patrick N.
I was skeptical spending $600+ on a piano without seeing it person, but this DDP-80 is absolutely so beautiful and the sound is excellent for a keyboard. The feet on the legs are adjustable so on my tile floor and it fits in awesome with my mid-century modern house vibe. I highly recommend it!
Thomas L.
I received the piano quickly after my order. The set up was pretty straight forward. One of the legs had a crack or divot in the wood. The dealer said they would send me a replacement in three weeks from China factory, but I set it up as is awaiting the replacement leg. I purchased the bench with the piano. It sounded like a regular piano. I have a spinet piano, but I needed to have a piano that I could use with headphones. I am pleased so far.
Rhonda A.
We've had or Donner DDP 80 for only two and a half weeks now, and we're very happy with it. It's for my daughter's upcoming piano lessons. Our choice was between this or a Yamaha, and after much research, viewing many videos, and a trip to two different music stores playing on grand pianos, we chose to try this one. Of course it looks beautiful. The keys are very weighted, but we have no issues with that feature. My daughter actually likes the feel of the weighted keys. It is touch sensitive as well. When you press the keys harder, it plays louder. That was a feature the piano teacher said we needed. To me, it sounds more like an upright church piano, and sounds very good in person. We love the sound. I wanted a good quality instrument that would sound beautiful when practiced on so that when my daughter played, she'd hear the beautiful sound of it and be encouraged to play even more. Well, we have an instrument that does so. To me, it sounds LIKE A PIANO, not a keyboard. The left side keys sound deep and absolutely beautiful just like a PIANO. If you are considering this as a beginner and are skeptical, so was I! Very skeptical! But I'm very happy with the Donner DDP 80 that I have in my possession. Knowing what I now know, touching it, hearing it, and feeling it personally, I'd definitely buy it again. We love it! And we purchased the bench to go with it. We're very happy with the DDP 80.
Angela M.
I was looking for a piano to learn on and didn't want a cheap looking or sounding keyboard. I already have a small MIDI keyboard so was hoping for something that sounded great and had the least amount of distraction possible. I love the look and sound of an acoustic piano and the Donner digital piano is perfect. It fits so nicely in my space and I'm so happy to be starting my piano journey with it :)

Beautiful in sound and appearance!
