The Drum Kit comes superbly packed in a double walled heavy duty carton, with the components separately packed in their own boxes. The stand steel rods and components are attached with nylon clamps compressed with a square headed bolt and nut. A device, that reminds me of an old fashioned skate key, is used to bolt everything together. As the clamps and rods were preassembled in random orientation, I suggest that you take everything apart [compression clamps, nuts & bolts] and reassemble them so that the bolt heads always face: either up or you, as you’re going to be readjusting them many times as you get everything to fit you comfortably. The instructions are wordless diagrams and well executed. The 3 cymbals are 9” in diameter with ⅓ of the surface rubberized for striking, The 4 drum heads are 8” in diameter with 6.5” mesh skins: there is one snare and 3 toms. The cymbals are disproportionately quieter than the drums; no matter how I adjusted the equalizer and other modes, I had to hit them significantly harder than the drums to get them to sound appropriately. There is one pedal for the Hi-Hat and one for the Kick. The sound sampling is quite good and the various components sounded very realistic, with volume reflecting attack speed and force. All components are attached to the amp with mini jacks. The amp is powered by a USB-C port (a power brick and USB-A to USB-C cord supplied).

Donner DED-70 electronic drum kit is a perfect beginner drum set for persons from 6-14 year old who wants to learn the basics and rhythm of drum playing. With that said if you’re an adult you should seek a bigger set as this set will be too small. The kit has 4 mesh drum heads and 3 oversized cymbals and offers a pretty realistic experience as playing a drum set. Everything is provided from a black stool to drum sticks and headphone. There are 15 customizable drum set and 10 songs included, along with settings for you to adjust the sensitivity of the drum plates. The biggest value to me is the high quality drum sounds, they do sound really good and you can plug the unit to external speakers as well. There is a metronome and recording function of the unit which I find to be all great features. The set can also stored in the corner of the room folding in both sides and quite space-saving. The downside is the lacking of the kick drum function. There are two pedals that triggers the high hat and in place of the kick pedal. The little black stool also squeaks.

Collette’s husband here, I am VERY happy with this purchase. It was a birthday gift and works fantastic with Cubase. As a producer I will say the very minor reason I didn’t give this 5 stars was because, of all things to be an issue, I had to use a different power adapter than the one it came with because it was giving off really bad signal noise until I used my own power adapter instead. At first I was worried it was an issue with the unit itself, but was relieved when a different power adapter worked great. Has options for both audio and MIDI input, which I really love! Sticks are great, good value, lots of fun, very sturdily built, no more complicated to put together than an IKEA piece of furniture. Folds up easily to be put out of the way.

It works good with clone hero after some figuring and know how. Only complaint is the legs need to be adjustable. Then it would be perfect. It's to short for an adult but with the legs being adjustable it could be future proofed.

My son is 10 and he loves it. You can do so much on it. He is on the spectrum and this is the perfect gift.
