The DED-100 drum kit is good for its minimal price. However, the ride cymbal is inconsistent in whether it registers a center hit or a rim hit, the brain is hard to use, pick-up can be inconsistent, and the choke feature barely ever works. All in, this is definitely a no-frills kit, but great for your budget!

Beware, I bought this product because it said it came with a drum throne in the title itself. The package arrived without a drum throne. I emailed them and, after a few back and forth exchanges, they ultimately told me it did not include a drum throne (despite the screen shots of the original web page I sent them). They told me they would get back to me in 24-48 hours with a solution but it's been over 2 days and I haven't heard anything back. The drums themselves are a good product but just know the product descriptions aren't accurate. I would be happy to change my review if they sent me my drum throne as described.

We bought this for our 8th grade son who has been in band for about 3 years now. He wanted to change instruments in the school band but was not able to get additional time at school. He has played with this set every day for an hour after school since he got them. He loves it and so do we. He puts his headset on and all we hear it some light tapping. The videos he watches helps him with good n tricks and he is getting better and more confident daily. If you’re looking for drums and not a headache.. THIS IS WORTH YOUR MONEY! My husband and older son put everything together and had it out of the box and ready to go within about half an hour. Would buy this set again! SUPER satisfied with this product.

I like how you can use a computer with ot using usb type b or aka printer cable. I use melodics for learning the drum kit. Easy install but kinda of sloppy packaging but was in good condition. And yes there is a tool to put it together called a key

It is great for practice, relatively quiet while playing with headphones. If you're on the floor directly under the drums, you may feel the feet pedals being pressed. You may want to cushion them.
With the weight of the pedals and the sound of the drums, it feels very real to playing the drums. I personally enjoyed playing alongside the backtracks

For the price that you could rent a set of drums for a month, you can buy this electric set and not have to worry about bothering your neighbors. Got the package, put the kit together, and watched a couple of online videos. I love it and wished I would have done this years ago. For getting people interested in playing, this kit is a winner. I love the way it sounds, the way it feels, and how happy it makes me. Well worth the money to me.

Drum set was not what I would call super easy to assemble. Instructions could have been a little more clear regarding when to tighten down specific pieces during assembly. Sound quality is great, just be aware that you will need an amp if you are playing for anyone besides yourself to hear. Drum set does fold up to leave very small storage space. Great for beginners that want to determine how passionate they are going to be with learning to use a drum set before dropping a huge load on a professional kit.

It seems like a really great set. There are lots of different sound settings to choose from. Sounds great! It was fairly easy to put together. Came with all the necessary tools and even some extra parts just in case you lose some or need to replace any. I like how all the parts and cords are labeled, making it easy to know what goes where. These were easy to assemble with one person. It took under an hour and they were ready to go. I do wish they came with even a small speaker, but they do not. We purchased headphones, but now we have to purchase a separate amp. I do not recall reading this in the description, but maybe I misunderstood. We also purchased a really nice drum stool for 30 bucks. This set will last a long, long time if taken care of. Overall, a really nice value for the money. Sounds good, takes up less room than a full acoustic set, and we love that our drummer has earphones. And he loves that it has a ride symbol and 2 regular symbols. We were very pleased

This is a really nice starter kit. Sound is great. Price is great. Decent port selection, but connecting to a modern PC might be a bit of an issue.
The assemble instructions for this drum set, well they suck to be honest. They are really vague, the diagrams really do not help. It felt like I bought a set of Ikea furniture and head to put it together in the dark. Once done? for the price? This set is really not bad at all.

I got these for my kids birthday and now I want to keep them for myself. I'm no drummer (obvious if you watch my video) but these are super fun to play and really nice quality. They sound great and all the toms are really bouncey and feel like the real thing. Just like a real drum kit all you need is a drum key (supplied) and some patience to put it together. It worked straight away, no weird programming or messing around. The brain/interface is very straightforward.
The Demo songs are great to play along with, in my demo Im using #3 which I really enjoyed. There is also a metronome to practice with if you want to keep it less busy. The kit is nice and light and portable but very sturdy; now I just have to convince my kid to let me keep it in my room. The size is good for kids or a tall adult.

My son has been using this, he is an experienced drummer of a few years now. He approves of this highly and we want to share our opinion to help others. The instructions were very straight forward. This set has a good selection of different sounds for each drum. Both crash cymbals can have 2 sounds based on the velocity of the hit. The bass pedal is really too sensitive. However this can be fixed by adjusting the sensitivity which is explained in the instructions. One of our favorite features is being able to plug in a phone to play a song, and plug in headphones as well and to hear the song and the drum set together! Overall it’s a terrific electronic drum kit.

So, to start off, I am a complete novice at playing drums. I set up a home recording studio and have been using automated drummers in Garageband, and wanted to have an electric drum kit to try adding some touches myself, but also to have for friends to come and record drums over my guitar/bass/vocals.
I was immediately surprised by how heavy duty this all felt, and how customizable. It took a bit to put together, but it wasn't hard. I'm also able to swing the arms in to save space when needed.
The different sound settings are really nice, and sound great going from Audio Out into my Beringer U-phoria to record.

Overall this was a great purchase. The absolute only issue I have is that the cable to the bass drum kick pedal is very short. If you have the display vertical, the pedal is just about off the ground. Make it a little longer and it would be 5 stars

We got this for Christmas for my boys and they love it! Great for moms too because kids can plug their headphones into it to give our ears a break! We had an amp to plug it into. You have to have one of those for the sound to work. It has all different sounds as well, not just the basic drum sounds! We bought the suggested stool and my boys haven’t really liked that. I’m sure there are better ones out there! It has become a source of entertainment for my boys teenage friends too when they come hangout in our music room!

Once I received the item which was packaged really well and compact, it was very easy to assemble and hardly took any time at all. I have bought a few guitar pedals by Donner and really liked them so I decided to take a chance with the drum kit.
It came in a relatively compact box and was packages very well. The build quality to very high and much better than the electric drum kits I used to play years ago. It has a good range of sounds to play around with and you can get good dynamic sounds from each drum depending how / where you hit it.
I think a few key features have been missed out in other reviews and the listing for the kit. The kit has rim sensors on each drum so you can get sounds from that also, but the best thing is that it has a MIDI output that allows you to connect the kit to a computer where you can use programs like garage band to get more drum sounds and record songs.
Overall I am very happy with this kit for the price point and would recommend it.

I was able to use the drum module with my old midi pads. It works great, good sensitivity and very fast midi tracking and triggering. I use the drum module with Toontrak SSD (Superior drummer) sampler.

Well this is my first drum kit. I've never played an electric one before. I used to always play my friends kits. I've always wanted one but an actual drum kit is out of the question. My friend suggested the DED 100. It's still new but so far I'm happy with it. If I had a critique the snare drum and the Tom's travel little bit with use. I figured with improved clamps it would be solved. For the price I don't mind a few modifications. In my opinion this is great for beginners oh, and the headphones are lifesaver. It really allows you to practice whenever you want without driving your family or neighbors crazy. You will need an amp to hear them though. I am using a Donner DBA-1 bass amp. I'm sure that the actual drum amp would be better but this works and it was cheaper.

I am having a lot of fun with this set. The initial setup was the only hassle. The assembly took several hours for me. The instructions could use more hints on the order of assembly also I had to shuffle around some of the pre-installed joints to match the drawing. The included power cable and 1/4" plug are short so get a 120V cord extension and a longer 1/4" TRS to 1/4" TRS

This drum set is the perfect set for a beginner. I got the set for my 12 year old son and he loves it. He can practice and create his own music. I like that he can explore his talent and be introduced to different music styles - the set includes 195 sounds. It can be adjusted easily in height and position so we can all use it. There are many features that I love that I could not have with just a regular drum set. First, when he is practicing at times I don’t even know it! This is a good thing since I’m working from home and he needs to continue his practice. This is one of the main reasons why I got this. Unlike his old regular drum set, he can plug headphones right into the drum set and continue his practice. The mesh heads of the drums are highly responsive and silent. This drum set can also be folded up! When we don’t need it, it is designed to collapse, it’s quick and easy to do! It’s a very high quality set, highly recommend it, whether you are a bigger or intermediate player!

Great for beginners or parents of a drummer who want their child to be able to express themselves without wrecking everyone's ear drums. The kids took to it fast, and it is very adjustable, making it easy to modify for the individual comfort of the user. The kick pedal trigger isnt great, which would be my only major complaint.

Purchased the ded-100 electronic drum kit. It's... Meh. Amazing price but the more I play the more defects I find. Cymbals are advertised as dual zone, yet never fire both or randomly fire. Description on the website said it included a throne. Contacted CS about it, they told me to purchase one. Kick trigger fires double and triple shots randomly. The frame is nice and solid though.

This drum set has a great sound quality for the price. Price wise, it is not as expensive as standard drum sets. I didn't want it to cost an arm and leg since it was going to be my first drum instrument. For a beginner drum set, it has every part you need for a full set. It includes 3 toms, hi-hat, cymbals, etc. It even came with a pedal (I had my own pedal but since it came together, I decided to use it) I started practicing with my first instrument and I am overall satisfied. It is so much fun to practice with your own beats (with keyboard) and record it as well.

The drum set itself is really good, although the only problem I found is that it has a hard time registering when I hit the rim of the crash or ride. So, you cant really use the rim of those very much, other than that it was a great purchase.

The ability to have good drum sounds that are volume controlled are great because if it was an acoustic drumset it would likely had been too loud for her. She insisted that we need to decorated so we purchased some stickers and some pint size sticks. I bet if you offered those racks with different colors you would even sell more at the price.

Using it at home as a practice kit for worship rehearsal. So far it's been great! Sounds and dynamics are excellent. The kit has a small footprint which gives it an advantage if your practice space is tight. It's about a month or so old so I can't rate reliability. Assembly was super easy. So far I totally recommend this kit for beginners and drummers who want to rehearse without killing your family and neighbors. I wouldn't recommend using it for gigs as it is a light duty kit. I'm a semi professional drummer with 35 years of band experience. I have also owned Alesis and Yamaha electronic Drum products. Also have played extensively on high end Roland V drums.

In the past I’ve used Roland eDrums when I first started playing. This year I wanted to give this gift to my 11-year old son who was interested in playing drums and wanted to switch instruments (has been playing piano for the past 7 years). So it was a good opportunity at a good price for me and for my son. Setup was OK. I took longer than expected especially because it was pretty difficult to assemble the frame even after loosening the screws. The set itself is small-sized when compared to my previous/old Roland set. It was not easy to place everything in order for me (5’11”). My son was happy with the placement of the pads. After a couple of rounds I realized that this is definitely a starter set and not meant to be for drummers who want more responsiveness. For example the kick pedal missed 2-3 beats almost every song even though I was pressing it firmly. Same thing for high-hat pedal. At this price point there is not many other drum sets available, so if you are a beginner, this is a no-brainer. But as you progress, you might soon find your set “lagging”.
