Easy to assemble. Can't beat the value if you can catch it on sale. I have no idea how to make drums sound good but I got the whole set playable in a few hours with no experience. Practice pads work fine on kick and tom's but I don't notice much of a difference for the snare. Hi-hat and crash are definitely quiet but the ride still seems pretty loud to be low volume.

I had bought it for my son to play on drums he chose it him self after doing some research.
he love it, it took us some good time to install all the pcs together since it is his first instrument. we watched few clips on youtube to see how to install it together. we love the baby blue color. everyday he practice playing on it.

For the money it’s a good drum set. Would recommend for beginners. The mute pads work well although you won’t get the same “feel” with them activated. May need to YouTube how to assemble them, as the instructions aren’t all that great. I will say that if you need assistance the customer service is excellent. They respond quickly and help with anything.

Overall buying experience was not good!! When I received my drum kit, there was no snare or snare stand!! Also never received any of the mounting hardware to install the metal rings on the Tom’s or the kick drum. Then they wanted to offer me 19 dollars to buy it locally. Really??? I refused the money, so now, supposedly, they are sending missing parts from china. Total BS!! They should have sacrificed a stock kit and sent me what I paid for!!

I received my drum set on the day it was supposed to arrive with a cracked bass drum rim and bass hoop. I immediately tried to get in contact with Donner to resolve the issue, which isn’t easy to do, and after about two weeks they told me they would only replace the bass drum hoop. Customer service can really use some revamping.

The last set of drums I used were four times as expensive as this set, so I'm not rating it down despite some complaints.
First complaint is that the box this shipped in was torn to shreds. Sometimes the products I get with these reviews aren't shipped quite like the customer's would be, and Donner: definitely check how to package this stuff because parts were moving around in the large box and the boxes were all torn up.
However nothing was even slightly damaged because this is a drum and they are designed to be hit a thousand times so it was tough (including the yellow finish).
Assembly was similar to most drums, and the video on this page is also on youtube. I recommend watching it before purchase. This guy assembles the set extremely quickly without any written or vocalized instructions. you just watch him do it. I found the included paper instructions to be far too simplified to understand, and the video looked great until I actually tried to assemble it and realized he was skipping several little steps. If you've assembled drums before you will be fine, but most people buying this very inexpensive set will have no experience. You will manage. Most of the steps I couldn't figure out were worked out at the end when I realized the couple parts left matched up. But you will be guessing when you assemble this drum set, no question about it. It took me a couple hours to put it together, and I had to go back and revisit some of my guesses.
The toms sound great. They sound like a two thousand dollar set. The high hat and cymbals crash and are controllable and are a blast. The bass drum doesn't reverberate a lot, but it's a bass drum, appropriate for rock. The snare is fun. I love snare drums and this one works really well. You get a pair of sticks and you'll want to buy a few more as they will break if you miss on these drums. Many are held together with steel rings (which is normal) and they are secure drums, but you will break your sticks learning.
The drums all have mute pads. Many many drums lack this great feature. With them in place you can really practice your rhythm without annoying the world. They all work well and were a simple part of assembly (you do have to put them together to some extent).
The 'throne' chair is terrible. It's the only part of this set that I didn't think was high quality. The chair just can't stay in place without a little wobble. I went with another chair I have.
All in all the quality is just so high for such a low price it makes it hard to buy premium drums. It may not be quite at the 'good' level but it's really close and it costs a fraction of the price. Most cheap instruments are terrible, but these are great. Honestly.
The set has everything you need to be creative. You could add a couple more toms if you wanted, but this set will enable you to learn drums for most of your favorite songs or just release a little stress now and then.

This was a great deal. All the way . 2 days shipping, start unpacking. Amazed ever inch packed perfect . All hardware was in it. The shells are amazing how well built they are. The skin is hi gloss shine . Cymbals great , and stands are well built strong stands could hang a Tom from. Foot pedal very smooth. All have great sound and the damper work so well easy to install . I been drumming for over 30 years had a few sets in that time .and the price here compared to lot of looking, you will not save money but quality you lose nothing. For real theyare top of the line. I was surprised by the hole purchase. Everything better than I was expecting. From the purchase to setting up I don't think you would find a better price or quality. So if wanting a set of drums just do it here and now. I have no second thoughts now. Are Damm good set 5 star they are

We resorted back to the picture to figure out how to assemble this. Not rocket science but may take a while. Overall great deal for the price!

Bought these for my 17 year old son. He has played drums for the past five or six years and loves this new set. I was a little hesitant to order drums online because my son is a bigger kid at 6 feet tall I was worried the drum set would be too small for him but they are a great size for adults.

We aren't looking to form a band. They are drums. Fantastic looking drums. It comes with everything you need to get started. We just want to learn and practice on them. So for us, it was a great purchase and we were actually pleasantly surprised at the quality of them for such a reasonable price. The only con was the directions could have been more clear. We put the heads on upside down a few times. But we got it all figured out. Easy to fix our mistake. Overall very happy!

We love this set. With the adjustable pads it can be “Silent” like you are just playing on drum pads, and it is a full professional set when you move the pads back. We also found that when you move the pads slightly back you can get a quieter drum. It is like having a volume control for each acoustic drum. We wanted a full set so we weren’t buying separate heads, symbols, stands, pedals, and then a separate practice set. The heads sound great. The pedals and stands in this kit are really sturdy. The only thing I would add for gigs is a crash symbol ( of course a “silent” kit wouldn’t have a loud crash) the ride and high hat symbols are actually really nice sounding and could be used to gig. We are thinking of adding rivets to the crash to turn it into a cool splash symbol (it already has the holes so it will be an easy task). We have also put it up and taken it down several times easily (good practice for gigs) the drums store easily in our closet and the hardware we put in a suitcase under the bed. It is easy to put up and put away. We did extensive searching before and after we bought this kit and have yet to see a better full kit, and the fact that it is also a practice set is a plus. Anyway, we hope to have years of fun making music with this and feel like it was the best choice for a complete drum set to practice and play out with.

Great set for beginners. Comes with everything you need. My only complaint is the drum throne. It's very uncomfortable. If you have the extra dollars, buy a better throne.
