I like the Drums, however the customer service is non existent. Trying to figure out how and where to order another floor tom, Cymbal or even replacement head, forget it.

Pro drummer here, I love this drum set.
I’ve been playing for decades and wanted something sturdy that would allow me to play without bothering the neighbors. Beginners sets are inexpensive, but made for beginners. Pro sets are very expensive, obviously.
The Negatives:
1. The hi-hat doesn’t respond with any nuance. But that’s the same problem I’ve encountered with every other e-set I’ve played. There’s no finesse in the hats, it’s either open or closed, nothing in between.
2. The cymbals (crash and ride) have a fixed location and the stands do not allow for much wiggle room with regard to positioning. They can go up or down, but if you are a guy who likes a low ride just above your floor tom, you are out of luck. I may have to just swap out these e-cymbals with real ones, or just add my own boom stands or something.
The Positives:
1. Literally everything else. The kick pedal is unbelievably good, I was shocked. I actually kept my DW 5000 in its case, no need for it. The hi-hat stand is also very high quality, double-braced legs, good movement. If you bought the kick pedal and stand separately from any music store you’d spend about what this kit costs total. I mean, maybe a little less, but good pedals and stands ain’t cheap, and the ones included with this kit are bona fide good.
2. Good drum sounds, good responsiveness, very easy to assemble wires and rack, which is also pretty sturdy and feels like it’s going to last a while. The “kick tower” is beefy, tight, sturdy. And the kick sounds amazing.
I’ve only had this kit for a day, I have no idea what the future holds, but if I had to make an assessment right now I’d say I definitely got the better end of this deal.
If you are an experienced drummer looking for a good, quiet e-kit and want a fair deal, this is your kit. I’ve played all the other electronic kits out there, this 500 Pro stands up to all of them.
