The Power Supply unit surprised me when it came out of the box. It's tiny. Not like all the ads I've seen for this supply unit to serve up to 10 nine-volt pedals in my guitar rig. But small size aside, it works well, saves space and simplifies hook-up when I move my rig. I don't break down effects pedals when I relocate to play elsewhere. The Power Supply itself is light weight and easy to use. I'd recommend it to any other musician with effects pedals or other boxes to link to a/c power.

I have two of these running and use various digital and analog pedals. If you’re using primarily 9v pedals, this will work great for you. If you’re plugging in Strymon pedals or 18v pedals, this isn’t for you. It’s not isolated, but the naysayers are looking for a cheap way to power their power suck pedals into it.

Has worked well for me so far. Looking at other reviews seems like there may have been some false advertising about some of the specs, but for what I have it works fine. Granted I’m not trying power some big rig or anything, just a few basic pedals. If you have something similar this’ll probably work great, if you’re trying power a lot of pedals or ones that require more voltage, you may wanna research different options

Bought this to power a simple pedal board that I assembled just for home based playing. I wanted something small and inexpensive and this seemed to fit the bill. It works well. It comes with all the connection cables you might need. So far it's been reliable and I've notice absolutely no noise when using it. Seems solidly built. I'm glad I bought it.

I couldn't resist the value and haven't been a bit disappointed. Using the 9v outputs for standard effects (chorus, delay, NS-2 and Harmonist) and 18v for EP Boost through a Boogie F50 combo amp and it stands up to the Pedal Power X4 and Iso5 that we have here in the studio. It's my first experience with a Donner product, but not likely the last. I can say that I am very pleased.

The power supply does the job, however the LED lights were not on. When I emailed a question to Donner about it I was ignored. I was on my own to figure out how to get the LEDs on. Maybe if my question had been answered I would have given a better review.

Having two inline FullTone boxes powered by either separate adaptors or sharingg one had a terrible hum and noise leak-through. Swtiching to this power supply fixed it like a charm.

No issues though I was a bit confused because i have a couple center positive pedals and when I would tie them all into the power supply (using individual power outputs and throwing polarity reversing jumpers in) the power supply would sense a fault and stop working. If I was to power only the center positive pedals- no issues, and likewise vice versa, but having center negative and center positive pedals on at the same time seemed to cause issues. I was able to isolate the pedals that didn’t like to ply well together and put one on it’s own separate power supply but I would think that if this is a truly isolated power supply, there shouldn’t be an issue and plugging in one of the pedals on an independent power supply shouldn’t fix the problem.

Stuck this onto the bottom of my DIY board with some Dual Lock. It works well with my pedals. For some reason, it doesn’t like my Boss RC-5. It starts up blinking/fault. Workaround is to plug that pedal in after everything else is powered on.

You don’t need to spend a lot of money to have a nice power supply. This thing runs all of my pedals and I don’t notice any noise from the supply at all. I wish I had purchased this item years ago.

If you are looking to power 8 9v pedals and noise is not a problem, then this is a good solution. As others pointed out, this is not true isolation. But you are not getting true isolation for this price. Check out the Voodoo Lab line of products, that is real isolation and $$$. If you just play at home and already have a bunch of wall-warts powering your gear and no noise, then this is a good deal and helps clean things up. Doing gigs out in the unknown, you may be better off with something like the Voodoo.

CONS: this will not work for delay pedals, specifically because of the way this switching power supply works. I have an Echoplex Delay. It works fine powered by this if it is the ONLY pedal in the chain. Anything extra in the chain causes a high pitched squeal (it's faint but annoying). I researched this and apparently is common with these types of power blocks. The other let down is multi-effects processors usually take more than 200ma and one of mine is 1A so it cannot be used on this. So that makes 3 pedals of mine that have to use an AC adapter. Having only 2 500ma ports severely limits this guy from having too many advanced pedals. Caveat: I do not have a noise gate pedal, so I am not sure if that would eliminate the squeal. PROS: small enough to hide under my pedal board. Nice blue lights to see the ports. (Minor CON: it lights up regardless if the port is used). Handles wah, gain, loop pedals with ease.

I got this in November. The power supply started cutting out, so I contacted Donner and even though it was an intermittent fault they sent a replacement within days. I’m so thankful and impressed. Oh and it powers ten pedals no problem. It kicks out 18v but I have a 9v power supply that I plugged into this and everything still worked fine.

A solid power supply. Lots of outlets for 9 vdc, even one each for 12 & 18 vdc. Two problems: 1) All the included connect cables are 2.1 mm but the 12/18 outlets use 2.5 mm and there are none, making those unusable; 2) the power cords are 12" long (perfect or maybe a bit long for pedal boards) but too short to connect to mixers or off-board pedals like wah or volume.

I've heard people say it's not isolated, but from what I've experienced they are. I don't have noise issues related to the power supply. The only noise is from high gain pedals, which is normal, which can be accounted for with a gate or a noise supresser in your buffer. It's great there is a 500ma port, since some pedals require more amperage. Be sure to research your pedals in advance and record the voltage, miliamps, and polarity required to see if this is what you need. It comes with 1 polarity converter cable (usually needed for older fuzz pedals). I was pleased enough with the power supply that I bought an additional one so I could add more pedals to the board.

Works great so far! Wasn't expecting much for the price. I bought the 5 plug daisy chain and it ame qith unwanted noises so I decided to try this. Glad I did. Everything is quiet now and I'm happy. I'll be returning the daisy chain power supply. As others have noted. This might not be totally isolated. But for the price it seems to work great so far. Will update if anything gets funky. Also another side note. This really only powers 7 standard 9v pedals. The last three are for special violate requirements. Still a great value. But I thought it would power 10.

I got this to use with the 6 Donner pedals I bought and the a donner pedal board. I dont gig or play live. My equipment pretty much stays in one room and location. There may be some noise introduced into the chain but there are so many other things that can cause noise in your setup that I dont notice anything annoying. It works, doesn't get hot or do anything other than what it was designed to do. Price is right.

Has eliminated most of the noise in my pedal chain by isolating the power individually by pedal. Yeah!! I did buy an additional right angle extension cable to route the power-in cable from the front to around the side of the unit due to space limitations.

I guess this is technically not fully isolated, but I still gave it a shot at this price. It works great. I do not notice any more noise than I had with the 9V batteries I used previously. And I use a lot of gain both in the amp and via pedals. (Klon type, Friedman be-od, ts-10, sd-1 plus a Ge Big Muff all live on my board.) I wonder if the people who complain about the noise level just got some accidental bad examples. I highly recommend this for the price. (Sute, if I was touring the world, I’d spring for a couple of Voodoo Labs.)

The DP1 power supply works perfectly for providing an economical answer for multiple plugs from pedals. It does not require much space, but still handles multiple pedals with ease. Presently I'm using it without a pedal board, and it still provides a great solution for power. I have to carefully plug in the pedals to avoid mixing up the cables. But surprisingly it hasn't been too difficult if I take my time. I highly recommend this affordable power source.

My cheap man’s pedal board (Behringer PB600) makes a lot of noise on my Fender Champion 100 amp, even with a noise gate pedal plugged in. I switched the OEM power supply to this one and the amp is so quite that I hear no more hissing. High gain OD pedal still generate quite a bit noise, but once the noise gate kicks in, it illuminates 90% of the OD noise. Couldn’t be happier.
