Donner Universal Heavy-Duty Z-Style Keyboard Stand with Wheels Adjustable Height/Width

This rolling keyboard stand is the strongest and handiest stand I've ever used. Super lightweight but still holds my largest heaviest keyboard and rolls like butter over any surface. I own two now and this is the stand I will buy in the future. Wish I had found it sooner. Adjustments are easy and quick on the fly for width and height. There is lots of room for legs to stretch forward to pedals without hitting the crossbar. You just have to go online to see it for all of its useful details. Built to last. Nothing fragile or flimsy about this product. And the cost is as though on sale even at full price. I don't know how you get this high of quality at this low price.

I purchased this for a stand for my orchestra bells that weigh about 70 lb. The stand has worked out very well. It is sturdy and easily adjustable. It is lightweight easy to move and is perfect for this application.

In less than 5 minutes, I had this all put together and ready to place my keyboard on. Provided that you assemble it correctly, a keyboard will rest sturdily and firmly without moving on this stand. I had the legs further apart for more stability. All pieces appear and feel sturdy and stiff, able to support the weight of most typical keyboards. It's also designed to fold within seconds if not being used. The knobs that click and hold the adjustable length bars in place do so in a quality and secure manner. I thought it was nice that the tops of the bars were padded with a soft foam. This does a good job of absorbing any vibrations while using a keyboard.

It was incredibly easy to put this together. It only took a couple of minutes. It has a nice, sturdy feel to it. However, it's not super heavy. I put this together in my room and was able to easily move it through the hallway into my daughter's room. You can easily fold and unfold it, so it's great if you have to transport it. My daughter changed her mind a couple of times on the height and the width. Luckily, it's not difficult to adjust the settings. You just unscrew the little knobs a litte and then pull them outwards. The only negative thing I can say about this keyboard stand is that the product page mentioned included accessories, such as a headphone hanger, keyboard straps, and non-slip foam, but my box didn't include any keyboard straps. The keyboard seems to be resting safely on the non-slip foam; however, when a product page says something is included, I expect it to be. Overall, this is a very sturdy and well-constructed keyboard stand which is easy to move and store.

I had an X style stand, but I could not set it low enough to be comfortable for my setup. This stand is adjustable to a low enough level that it works well for me. I have purchased several Donner products including a guitar pedal power supply and a pedal board. I have been favorable impressed with the quality of these products, and they have a very good price point.

I ordered this stand twice. The first stand had an imperfection in one of the thread holes preventing assembly. Amazon sent a replacement right away. The second stand was fine. This stand is very easy to put together and feels very stable. Although the wheels are sturdy I did not used them on my cork flooring. I found the included feet to provide more stability. There are rubber pads on the top bars on which the keyboard is to sit on. The pads do not cover the entire length of the bars. This is a drawback as my CDP 360 keyboard is not very wide. I added my own padding to the uncovered portions the bars. Headphone hook does stay tight. Adding a resilient padding, e.g, strip of foam adhesive tape or maybe a locking washer would help the tightening knob for the headphone hook to stay tight. Overall, I am very satisfied with the stand it is sturdy, functional, and looks cool.

I bought a standard keyboard stand at the music store. It was awful because I am so short. I couldn’t get comfortable. Love this stand!!! So many options for getting it right where you need it. Highly recommend.

I was hesitant at first cus my old stand was a X and it was wobbly and and it moved too much so that caused me trust issue. but this was sturdy and easy to move I have a casio cdp s350 but it fits well since I can adjust how long I want it to be Overall a really good piano stand :D

I use the stand with quite heavy (13kg) and long (140cm) Native Instruments S88 full lenght keyboard. I'm using the stand to push the keyboard under a table when I'm not using it, and to this purpose it works very nice. I did have some issues with the quite-cheap-feeling wheels coming off which almost dropped the entire keyboard. I recommend alternative attachment of the wheels especially if you are using them a lot. The default tolerance is quite shord and they will eventually loosen and come off. I'm happy with the stand and it does what it says it does, no issues there.

This unit has a great deal of adjustment designed in, both in the distance the two legs are apart, and how high the keyboard sits. The spring-loaded adjustment knows work extremely well. I love this stand.

This is a decent keyboard stand. Seems like it should hold up well over many years. It is adjustable so you can change the height of it. Like that it is wheeled compared to our other two. This way I can easily bring it from one room to the other. Also comes with feet that you can put on instead of the wheels. One thing I found a little interesting/odd is has straps you can use to secure the keyboard in place. However they do not fit any of our keyboards and not even the Donnor brand keyboard that we have. The wheels glide smoothly and you can secure with the brake on them. It is a decent keyboard stand for everyday use.

My keyboard has an awkward underside for stands. This is my second stand and though it’s still not a perfect fit as the supports are way wider than my keyboard, it feels much more secure than my last one and I’ve made it work. The keyboard is securely attached to the base and easy to move around. You have an option to use wheels or make the stand stationery. I chose the latter. The instructions are fairly good, but there is no mention of the movable/stationery option. It made me feel like I missed a step as I had these leftover pieces that didn’t have an apparent function. The upside to the instructions is that they were one page, always a good sign.

This stand is great quality. It’s sturdy, it’s easy to move, and it’s affordable. My only complaint is that it’s not the most attractive stand that I have ever seen. It doesn’t offer a ton of polish to the design or appearance, it’s simply functional. At best, it’s not likely to be noticed, at worst, it’s just boring without being awful. The box that this stand arrives in is surprisingly compact and small. I was impressed with how little space it took up. However, be aware, it is a little bit heavier than it looks; still quite manageable though. Putting the stand together is simple and can easily be done by a single person. I was able to assemble it myself in under 15 minutes while watching TV. Overall, I would say that this particular stand is great for those looking for a wheeled stand that they can easily maneuver around a single room or small home. The stand is great for near-permanent use, but isn’t the easiest option for constant breaking down. If you’re looking for a travel stand, I wouldn’t suggest this one. If you’re looking for a stand that can easily move around your studio, living room, or bedroom, this is fabulous.

Very easy to assemble and lock wheels great for on the move...

I like this keyboard stand a lot' It's good and solid and the wheels really help moving it around. I use this one for my drum machine and works great' My other one is for my Kronos keyboard. I do recommend this for any keyboard'

This comes with directions; however the strap directions are unclear. It is not easy to figure out where to put the straps. I bought the Donner product because my keyboard is Donner. But the holes do not match and useful configuration. I finally did the best I could but the keyboard is not tightly bound to the stand. Time will tell if that will be a problem.

The thing is solid. I really enjoyed the attention to detail that went into the design as I assembled it, until I noticed a manufacturing flaw. The cross member has a first bar with a nut welded to it and a second bar with holes in it. A retention bolt screwed into the nut can lock into the holes in the other bar. However, the second bar was installed wrong and a keeper prevents me from turning it the right way. All that said - this is not a problem because that cross member still does a good job. I crank the bolt and the cross member bars clamp together. So, still five stars because this is a great stand. It is incredibly solid and easy to adjust. The manufacturer picked really good materials . Even the wheels are better than average. The design is great - it even withstands that manufacturing flaw.

We ordered a niiiice Donner keyboard for our teen to encourage her to start making music. We neglected to get a stand. That's why we ordered the Donner Keyboard Stand. 1 for compatibility with the keyboard. 2. It seemed to be a study, durable stand for a teen. Sometimes teens can be rough on items in their room. It's well made and stable. The materials are of quality. The wheels, yes to the wheels. She can roll the stand near her window which has a nice view and can be more inspired. The stand holds the keyboard perfectly. If you have a Donner keyboard, I definitely recommend this stand. No issues for us or her. We can recommend this stand!

I have an 88 key electric piano that I have been using on a table. The height was all wrong for me, so I was very pleased to get this keyboard stand since the height is adjustable to my comfort level. The width is also adjustable so that it can be set properly to support various sizes of keyboards. Assembly was fairly easy. I removed everything from the box, organized the parts out on the floor and identified all of them based on the assembly documentation before starting. I find that helps me assemble something more effectively if I know where everything is. It comes with both wheels as well as foot pads; I use the foot pads. They are very easy to adjust the height in small increments if you want to make sure your keyboard is level. The keyboard also includes traps to help hold the piano in place, but my keyboard does not have any place that I can attach them to. I am using this with an 88 electric keyboard that weighs about 30 pounds. The stand supports it fine with little to no wobble. I am pleased with this stand. It is fairly sturdy and priced affordably.

I have a small collection of keyboards, from 61 to 88 keyed digital pianos. I rarely need a stand as I have bases that are more permanent for them to stand on, but these are not portable. While I don't play publicly so don't need a stand for that, I am beginning to teach my children and something their level I figured would be better, and portable. This suits what I want perfectly! It's heavy and sturdy. Made well. It took over 10 minutes to assemble as there are a lot of pieces to screw in... more than I was expecting. You can take it down with just 2 screws and then you have 3 pieces... both legs and the connector bar, and then reassembling is much faster. At it's lowest it's a good height for the kids, and even a kiddie keyboard. I was surprised it can collapse to something so small. Stretched out and tall it's great for an adult while standing and are larger digital piano. I had no issue with this. Sure, something lightweight and instantly collapsible has it's place too, but I wanted something durable and very adjustable.... the wheels are a nice touch as well. Very happy with product!

We needed a stand for yet another keyboard in our music room and having heard lots about this brand chose this one. It arrived well packaged, and all the parts were included, although at first I didn't think so. The instructions are very sparse. The images show what looks like a rigid bar to brace the sides with and I didn't think it had been included but then realized it wasn't a bar, but a folded up strap. It went together well and does a nice job of holding up a keyboard. I also like that it is on wheels which makes it move around the room more easily. I don't know that I would disassemble it to take out though. It doesn't seem to fold up quite as easily as other stands. All in all it is a very nice sturdy little stand.

This keyboard stand is very easy to put together, it is adjustable, and it is very sturdy. I recently purchased a keyboard, and found that none of the surfaces I have (desks, tables, etc.) are at a comfortable height to practice for any extended period of time. I also had to clear off space whenever I wanted to play the keyboard. This stand does not take up much space, and is adjustable, so whether I am sitting in an office chair, on my sofa, on a dining room chair, or even standing, I can easily adjust the keyboard to a comfortable level. I assembled mine with the wheels, because I do like to play in different places, and the wheels make it that much easier to move around. Two of the wheels lock, so once you have the stand in position, you can make sure it does not roll away unintentionally. It appears that this is designed to hold a higher end, full sized keyboard. My keyboard is not higher end, and is a slim design, so there is a lot of space behind my keyboard when I rest it on the non-slip pads. But that just makes it convenient to put a music stand up. This stand is perfect for what I want, and more than what I need.

A good stand at a good price. The option to install feet or wheels (and easily swap them) is very cool, especially in this price range. The instructions are lousy, but I was able to figure things out. (To be fair, I've assembled a lot of furniture and music gear.) I later noticed the video on this product listing, which explains things much more clearly. Of course, it could be even clearer about the fact that to make adjustments, you have to unscrew the spring-loaded knobs a half turn or so before pulling them out. The straps for securing keyboards that have screw holes on the bottom are a nice touch. Some stands have those screws in less flexible positions, which might not fit every keyboard. The screws are very long, so they'll stick out the bottom of many boards, but by the same token, they provide a solid connection. The headphone hook spins freely, no matter how much you tighten it. At first, I wasn't sure if that was intentional or poor machining, but after using the stand for a while, I'm cool with it. I have a bad habit of accidentally whacking my knees against anything in range, so I'd rather spin the hook than bruise my knee. That said, be careful not to tangle your headphone cord in it! This stand is quite sturdy, but not the sturdiest. As a long-term home for an expensive beast like an 88-key Fantom or Montage, I'd choose a stand with two crossbars. A certain major manufacturer (rhymes with "blamaha") makes a similarly priced Z stand with a double crossbar that's a step up from the Donner in strength and durability. However, it doesn't include wheels and is tougher to fold up and carry around. I have both stands, and like them each for different purposes. For home use, I definitely recommend spending a bit extra for a Z stand over an X stand. X stands are designed for playing while standing up, so many of them don't adjust low enough for proper seated playing posture. Also, unless you have very long arms and sit far back, they tend to bump your legs!

I really needed this, so when it was available, I decided to test it out. I'm glad I did. It works well and is priced amazingly low for what you get, compared to other stands of the same type, this costs 1/3 or less of those, and offers the same features if not more. It's the casters that make it a standout, for my studio they're perfect so I can move my two synths around easily and quickly, and securely. The clamps and hooks/holders all offer great security and hold all my stuff very nicely. I don't worry, when I move unit, I know everything is nice and secure. I've also tested some other Donner stuff lately, and I must say, they're becoming my new favorite rack/stand/DJ equipment provider, really solid stuff here at great prices! Whether electronic or just a stand, they're stuff is making me reconsider many things at prices that I now feel I no longer have to pay, since Donner offers great lower cost alternatives than the big boys, so far so good!

We have a keyboard my daughter bought and wanted to teach my grandson to play on it but it didn't come with a stand and playing on the bed was uncomfortable. This is so much better. It securely supports the keyboard and lets him sit at it and practice. It's also adjustable, so if we get a bigger one, it'll be able to be used with this, too. It's relatively simple to put together and has adequate legroom for our needs. We like it. 4 stars.

The written instructions are not enough. Although you can figure it out, the instructions don't specifically tell you that you have a choice of wheels or round "feet". Looking at the product page helps. The photos and the video explain what the written instructions don't. For example, I would never have figured out what the rubber straps are for. According to the product page photo, they are for securing keyboards that have threaded holes matching the included threaded bolts. I don't have such holes on my keyboard(s). The rubber pads on the top of the stand should keep my keyboard from moving while on the stand. Assembly is straightforward and easy. Some of the features that make it very useful for me are the ease with which the stand's height and width can be adjusted, the choice of wheels or stationary feet, and the handy headphone holder. It's an easy recommendation.

This took longer to assemble than I would have liked. It ended up taking two different nights to get it going because there were extra parts. It got dark trying to figure it out so the second night first thing I did was look at the parts list and sure enough, I had things that weren't even on the parts list. They didn't even look like they were part of a keyboard stand! Once I cleared those out of the way, assembly was fairly easy. (So my advice is to check your parts list right away!) It's a nice stand. My husband has it behind his computer so he can simply turn around in his chair, and pull it up closer to use it. The wheels are really great, and it can be adjusted up down and about anyway to hold different keyboards. It's well balanced so I don't worry about the keyboard falling over.

Keyboard stands are something i have been into for awhile with about half a dozen or so traveling through my equipment sea over the years. I am not convinced a particular style is better than the next because each version i have has higher and lower qualities. The fold out types are the easiest to assemble, break down and store. The sturdier alternative common type is the kind that you pull out and form with the support arms being thicker and sturdier than the standard folds out kind that looks like a serving stand you would see at a restaurant. This super nice keyboard stand from the Donner brand is an example of the sturdier variation though this stand has a standout feature have not seen before- it has wheels. The wheel system on this stand not only has reliable and well made wheel, they can also lock into place. After spending a few minutes with this stand i am now wondering why every stand is not made this way. I like the type of rubber slip resistant material that is on the support arms. I like being able to gave more overall control over the height and arm adjustments like this stand offers. The benefits of the wheel are more for my apartment studio. I often find it hard to watch my projection screen which i use to watch movies because when i lay down my equipment blocks the lower part of the screen preventing foreign films from having the subtitles seen. This is due to the screen taking up the whole room wall. Being that i watch mainly 75 percent subtitles films i need to move around my equipment with ease before and after the film screening. With this wheel based stand i reduced my clearing of the equipment session from a ten minute affair to about twenty seconds. That improvement in my home studio space management is worth the purchase alone. This is not my first time ordering a musical equipment product from the Donner brand. I have been very satisfied with not only this brand but with the customer service if needed. The staff is super friendly and responds to your needs very fast. I am referencing the company in general and want to stress that i had no negative issue with this unit. The assembly time is fast with nothing complicated involved. To conclude, i am super happy with this keyboard stand and recommend it to anyone serious about quality musical equipment for a great price.

This keyboard stand has a very nice fit and finish, and was easy to assemble. I set it up for my 49 MIDI controller, and was very pleased. It will also hold a full sized keyboard as well. It comes with a choice between standard feet and castors. You can switch out in a few minutes if you need to. I put the casters on so that I could have it next to my desk and move it as needed. All four castors lock as well. Adjustable height and width both have a good range, and the top arms come with foam padding attached. The three large adjustment knobs are spring loaded so that you only need to unscrew them a few turns and pull on the knob to make an adjustment. Then just tighten it back down after it clicks into the next hole location. There's nothing cheap feeling about this stand. It appears to be very durable. But my one concern is that even with everything tightened down, It has a little bit of side-to-side sway if you push on it. It's not noticeable with playing. Nor does it sway on its own. but bump it and it will sway slightly. From the look of it I didn't expect that. One other note; the company logo is on the sides of both legs in white. If you want to hide that you can swap the sides (they're interchangeable) and the logos are then on the inside of the legs, and not as noticeable. Overall, this is a very nice stand though. It's well made and durable.

The media could not be loaded. This stand is well built and is the easiest stand I’ve used. It is expandable to 88 keys. And can be shortened too with a secure twist knob design. Plus, the height is also adjustable with screw twist knobs too. No tools needed. It come with wheels that are rubberized and lockable. They also included feet pads if you prefer them instead of wheels. The top space is wide enough for almost any keyboard and I like the strap down design too. The base is so secure and won’t fall over if bumped into. Love It!!! Trust you found this review honest and helpful:-)

Portability: Assembly is pretty quick, and simple enough that you can do it without referring to the instructions. The initial assembly took me about fifteen minutes, but I have curious cats, so the second attempt took only about ten minutes once the critters were shooed away. The wheels do a decent job of allowing the stand to be moved, or these can be swapped out for feet (which also lowers the stand a couple of inches). When locked, the whole assembly is pretty stable. Durability: This stand has a pleasing heft to it. It’s light enough to be easily portable, but feels solid enough that you wouldn’t hesitate to put a heavier keyboard — like a digital piano, rather than just a MIDI controller or synthesizer — on it. Appearance: Cosmetically and functionally, this stand looks to be pretty much identical to a number of other Z-stands available on Amazon, such as the Plixio, Liquid Stands, and Pyle brands. I don’t have any of those, however, so feel free to take that with a grain of salt. Complaints: The locks for adjusting the stand’s height and width have to be loosened before adjustment, then tightened again after; I’m curious whether the screws would start to strip with repeated use. Finally, the top surface, where the keyboard sits, has foam padding that I suppose is there to protect the metal and keep the keyboard from sliding around. It does a better job at the former than the latter; I plan on adding a bit of rubberized tape for better grip as a supplement to the included straps. Final verdict/TL;DR version: this feels a lot more solid, stable, and reliable than most of the X-frame keyboard stands I’ve seen, and despite a couple of minor gripes, I expect that it should hold up well over the long term. It’s certainly suitable for home use, and seems as though it should also weather a stage environment with no problems.
